I make 16, I'm also depressed as ever, relapsed after 14 years of sobriety, got stood up this week 4x because I'm fairly sure my hearts about to fail or I have cancer or both.

Honestly comtemplating suicide, these last two years have been a pure nightmare, I remember telling my family how 2021 would be the year I got it together, and I lost everything, now I'm fighting my will to go on and honestly I don't see a point.

I make $46, but thats salary. Granted 2-3 times a pay period (2 weeks) Im working 10 hour days, but most of the time Im in at 8am and leaving at 2pm. I have my own corner office and share a bathroom (with shower too) and kitchenette with my operations counterpart. Never thought Id be doing this type of management deskwork job, but its been the most fulfilling and least stressful job Ive ever had. Plus my immediate supervisor is on the other side of the country and our only contact is during a group zoom call once a month. Even in the economy we are in now, our jobs and company are safe. We are a fortune 500 company (manufacturer) thats been arounds since the 1800s. Our products we manufacture and patents held on chemicals are sound and very profitable. Our manufacturing portfolio is huge, and we continue to grow buy buying out other manufacturers world wide. He have a bigger footprint worldwide than just in the US.

I worked my way up. It was more luck and timing than actual effort. Came on as an entry level warehouse type job 6 years ago. After 2 years, my boss retires and I take his job because no one applied for it and the position wasn't known in the company. 3 years after that, Im then thrown in a new region manager position since again, people retired (after 40 years at the company) and no one else wanted to apply and were happy where they were. Sorry for the novel. I just sharing how I got here after randomly applying for a no experience needed position and sticking around while the old people retire.

Kek, I used to deal with that type of shit working in group homes for shit head kids who didnt like basic discipline. This job specifically has clients that need to meet a certain criteria to not have any of those major behavioral issues, at least not around us. Hours atm suck ass since Im still building my case load and we get paid monthly. Job is easy, just teach em how to talk to cashiers or not stare at women. Its like being an IRL 4chan mod. I do drive to client houses, but at least I do get comped for miles. We have no office, its WFH whenever Im not with a client so its endless zoom meetings.
