It's easy to say that you'd accept the cleansing by fire (especially after hearing about the jumpers who momentarily survived), but in reality your entire body's worth of pain nerves will be screaming a symphony of agony every microsecond. I imagine it'd be very difficult to just stay still and accept it in that situation

People in the upper floors couldn't even stand/walk on the floor because the floor got so hot so fast, I think might've even burnt through their shoes. They had to jump up on furniture to not be burnt alive by the hot floor

Also reminder that some of the "jumpers" were actually just trying to get relief from the smoke and heat by breaking open the windows, but the vacuum/pressure effect of breaking the windows caused them to be involuntarily be sucked out

I read somewhere that if you jump to your death 9/10 you die from a stroke before you hit the pavement just from the anxiety and fear alone. I'd probably choose that over burning to death. I'm not so sure you can force a human body to jump into a fiery inferno like that.
