Justin has absolutely billions of stables ready to deploy, unironically. Even at $0.70 it'd cost him less than 5% of his aave stash - plus niggers would probably bring the funding rate down to -1/2% kek which would be over 800% apy.

the -0.15% is the FUNDING rate, aka SHORTERS are paying 0.15% every 8 hours (funding time) on binance to longers to keep their position open.

because they fall for the biggest midwit trap ever, which is muh "passive incooooom"
you see these idiots do the same thing with staking, like for CRO. Lock your coins up and get 20% per year! But then they lost 80% by holding kek.

These are the realistic APY lenders are getting. Binance is getting a massive spread at 0.15%, not everyone is just a sucker giving Binance money.

>> No.49821642

>>49821497

Also, the 30% APY which you can get for staking USDD should be coming from deposits/lenders. But in reality who the fuck is going to pay 30% to borrow a shitty algo stable?

Nobody.

And nobody did that for UST either. If you looked at the deposits/borrow ratio in anchor you would have seen just how unsustainable it was. The luna foudnation was basically just throwing money at UST stakers, to maintain the 20% apy, so it was bound to fail. That is what Justin sun is doing with USDD but there is no death spiral since there is no USDD redemption mechanism yet like there was for luna/ust

If that is Spool, then the APYs are a product of the aggregation of existing yield protocols including the lending protocols Aave and Compound. I think the best rates is coming from those two at the moment. Binance rates are super low in my opinion

>People are shorting trx with asymmetric information - they just think its the same algo ponzi. it isnt. they will get burned 100%

At 0.022% daily interest rate and with the coin still near the peg a week ago, it was a cheap bet. You literally couldn't get burned 100% at 10x leverage, because it can only go to 1$. Most of the principle was safe on an upswing.

It's getting less interesting, but it was worth a gamble to learn. I should have done done it with half my life savings instead of just playing around money though.
