><<>>< WHY SILVER? ><<>><

>Historically Undervalued
Gold and silver exist in the Earth at about a 1:16 ratio, and this is the ratio they traded at for all of history. However, today these metals are extracted at a ratio of 1:8, but their price ratio has been as high as 1:80! This indicates that, historically speaking, silver is extremely undervalued relative to gold.

>Industrial Need
Silver is used in thousands of technological, industrial, and even medical applications. In fact, it is the second most patented material in the world, just after crude oil.

>Supply and Demand
As silver is used industrially, it is transformed into a form that is not economically feasible to recycle. Because of this, we say it is consumed, and that the supply of silver is continually drained. Not only that, but the world's silver mining output has slowed in recent years. Most silver is mined as a byproduct of base metals, and as demand for base metals decreases, the new supply of silver is also reduced. For these reasons, silver is considered an "endangered element," just like helium.

>Market Manipulation
JP Morgan was once forced to pay a $1,000,000,000 fine after being caught rigging the silver market. They continue to do so, but having friends in low places protects them from being truly held to account. As explained above, silver and gold are coupled in a price ratio, though this ratio is somewhat elastic. The goal of market manipulation is to suppress the price of gold as a means to suppress reported figures for inflation, but the gold market is slow and heavy. Silver is much easier to manipulate, and is therefore suppressed directly in order to drag gold down with it. By suppressing reported figures of inflation, the Treasury is enabled to borrow money at lower interest rates, buying more time before the government is forced to default on its debt or resort to hyperinflating the currency.

All this means that silver has greater potential for gains than gold.

Hey /pmg/, check out this copper penny I found sorting through a change jar. The obverse is misstruck! And yes I realize it's a die error, not a planchet error. I put the penny in a new flip. This is the first ever error coin I've found in the "wild", as far as I know.

But check this out: The reverse is totally fine! So it's not a case of the planchet being a dud or misplaced. The actual die itself was misaligned! Seems pretty big on the "oops" scale. Only thing is I haven't found any documentation of this striking error of a bad obverse on a 1974 Philedelphia penny. Any more knowledgeable anons have anything to say about it? Not really looking for cash unless it's worth $100+, I'm just curious about a cool error I found.

(reposting for this thread because why not)
Okay, let's examine that scenario. If you take every Dollar in existence and divide it by all the above ground gold, you get a Dollar To Gold Ratio of $14,070 per ounce of gold. If the gold to silver ratio then corrects to its historical value of 1:16, which is what has happened every time in history there's been a monetary crisis, then the projected price of silver would be $879.
If you take these projected values and divide them by gold and silver's current prices of $1849.90 and $21.93, then gold's price will have risen by 760% and silver's price will have risen by 4,002%.
In short, silver has over five times more upside than gold in this scenario.
>But the ratio won't snap back like that!
Then it would be the first time in history. If you really want to bet on that, then I think I have far better chances than you do.

I can't help but feel a little bad for some of them. For a few good honest traders crypto was the most reasonable way out of this clown-world financial system that tries harder and harder to deny upward mobility.
That being said, OTHERS that;

>flooded every possible discussion with "but what about bitcoin"
>insisted it was the future of finance and that PM holdings were stupid
>bought up every possible graphics card and nearly killed PC gaming for good
>kept hacking Youtube accounts and replacing them with crypto streams

gold is fun. I just rarely find gold rolexes at a price that is cheap enough. The only one I found that I regret buying was a gold oyster quartz sold by a pawn shop on ebay that went for 10,000 CAD. It was scratched up, needed a new crystal, but was otherwise fine. I think for 500 bucks I could have put in a new crystal, gotten the bracelet tightened, and had the movement serviced. because high precious metals values signal hyper inflation. Jews use the fiat system of jew owned central banks to print out money and take over the world. High precious metals values signal hyper inflation and can cause currency runs - which would ruin the currencies that jews have the power to create with their central banks. Thats why they try to stop people from thinking about gold and silver as monetary metals and suppress the price of precious metals by selling futures contracts on comex and LME for metals that don't exist - a scam designed to make it look like there are more metals than there are, which keeps the metals price down, which hides inflation, which keeps the fiat system going. Most people that own precious metals don't own metals because they invest in scams like LME or COMEX or other "stored in a foreign vault lol" services run by criminal kikes.

I just wonder why GOLD. I assume they don't "want" us to own silver in the same way they don't want us to exercise, eat a lot of meat or read antisemitic books- but something about Gold specifically feels different. I wish I could articulate my feelings better than saying "I feel like I'm on the edge of discovering something about Gold that'll make me want it so bad I stop buying silver" but I just don't know what.
Maybe silver is simply too big to control at a centralized level, while Platinum and Palladium are too small to manipulate others with? Could it really be that simple, that Gold exists in the perfect quantity to control with?

gold is the true central bank monetary metal. Back in the day when there was international trade there was a "gold room" in a bank with sections for each country and gold would get shifted around to the sections owned by each country as trade progresses. It's only post-breton woods when Kikes using there Amerimutt golem forced the entire world at gunpoint to accept that the USD isn't just a fiction like all other unbacked fiat currencies but a "reserve asset" on par with gold.

As the USD dies as it will no longer be able to maintain dollar hegemony gold will migrate back into orbit as the centre of the global financial solar system.

Gold is money. Gold is the most value dense money you can buy.

I can load up my backpack with gold and get on a boat and leave the country if I need to. I could never do that with silver. Gold is true freedom.

Hello frens, I am new to the PMs game and was hoping to learn a little about it.
I have around 24 oz in rounds and sovs headed my way.
Should I also consider junk silver?
I have no interest whatsoever in jewelry.
Also, I am on about 24k a year so I generally can't spend a lot.

Welcome! You are just in time to catch the train.

Junk silver used to be relatively cheap. I'm not sure about that anymore. It has the advantage of being recognizable to normies. It is also alloyed so it holds up to jingling in your money pouch. Also, junk silver is often beautiful. If you are on a budget, it is probably best for you to seek out the lowest premiums from any reliable source and stack what you can.

Good luck!

both seem to have the same ownership
not a lot of reviews on trustpilot
depends what you're buying I'd say
small orders should be fine since they do have a bunch of positive reviews
but for a larger order it's not worth risking not getting delivery, mega delays, .. stick to the ones you trust
25% of their reviews are 1/5 stars
yet somehow their overall is 4/5 stars..

My stance: gold and silver (G&S) should be purchased for three reasons:
- simply holding and admiring the stuff,
- as a way to transfer wealth.
- as a hedge against rampant inflation.
>The *prices* of metals will increase, but their trade value will remain stable.
Generic G&S values change slowly, though silver's wider industrial application contributes to its larger price fluctuations. Generally, if an ozt of Ag buys five loaves of bread now, it should still buy you five loaves many years from now. Rampant ("hyper") inflation is possible depending on your country's economy, but the chances are small in most western countries. The inflation we now see is mostly caused by high fuel and shipping costs, and Covid stimulus coming to bite us. This is different from an economy and currency going bust.
>Protip: keep your purchase receipts so you can deduct the purchase price from what would otherwise look like pure profit.
When you're cash fat and older, you might want G&S to transfer wealth to your heirs. No-one would be the wiser. When bequeathing, states may look at financial records as far back as 5 years: make sure you've built up a stack over time to enable obscuring the bulk of your wealth.
>Investment strategies create wealth. PMs store wealth.
In ordinary times, you will not get rich trading PMs. You get rich, then typically buy PMs from retailers. To make a profit they charge above spot - a "premium". Numismatic value aside, they will buy from you below spot (rarely at or above), but in any case below their premiums: they are businesses. So you need time for the prices of metals rise to where you would break even.

Manufactured copper (whether utilitarian or art) is grossly expensive. That said, the copper art bars I bought a decade ago are selling now for triple what I paid. But that brings in your second point - you need a shitload of it to make a dent in your portfolio. My recommendation is to buy bars for the novelty only. Hoping it will triple again might be fantasy amyway.

Get them if you want them. Just buy one of each and start now when the prices are normal. Completing a set that’s already started will be expensive as you’ll have to eBay the older shiz. Buy what you want of course, but try and bulk out with easily sold stuff like maples, eagles, Britannias rather than hoping to make money off star wars commemorative coins or something. Although I do recall some guy bought loads of assassins creed silver 1oz because that was the cheapest 1oz available lol.

Numismatics are their own “thing”. If you want some silver I recommend sniping sterling on eBay or at estate sales. You can get it for cheaper than spot and amass a kilo or more quite easily. You won’t “get into” numismatics easily anymore. Anything worth collecting like silver eagles or constitutional junk silver is at super high premiums. Make yourself a nice stack of sterling or .999 fine silver bullion in the form of 10 oz/kilo/100 oz bars, depending on your resources, of course.

I have between 500-1000€ of available capital to buy every month so I should be able to get the ball rolling decently okay (from my own perspective) other than tradeability of 1oz coins, is it less or more worthwhile to acquire bars over coins in general, or is it better to have a majority in coins and less so in bars?

Coins with a face value are money, and are easier to get through customs/ports. They are also prettier typically and if you sell the buyer may be assured by the built-in anti-counterfeit technology like holograms or microstamping.

Bullion is fine too, but imo you want to start stacking that for weight only after you have a satisfactory amount of coins.

In the long run, they're both good. Bullion will be very slightly cheaper but harder to trade without shaving/cutting if you go for big weights.

Despite what (((niggers))) might tell you, the wounds of the civil war were healed by the 1890s. The Confederacy was heavily respected by the average American. Theres a reason why there are confederate monuments in the Northern States. (((Niggers))) will tell you that Confederate soldiers were traitors to America, when even in the time of Lincoln, they’re considered American veterans and so they are buried in National Cemeteries right across from Union dead. This was a continuous mutual respect. There is a bunch of period film from the early 20th century of Civil war veterans meeting up at the places they fought each other, decades before. Not hate between Americans there, despite what the (((nigger))) may tell you. Confederate General Johnston literally died of pneumonia that he got due to him having his hat off during the entirely of Shermans funeral. He was repeatedly asked to put his hat back on, only to say “I know if things were reversed, he’d take his off for me.” Normies raised by the (((news))) will never understand this.
