Eth has had PoS staking a while now. It's just a contract and you do get % gains, but it will only be paid out the moment that PoS is actually released. Some exchanges allow you to stake and give you a stake token that you can trade. It trades a bit lower because there's a time until reward and you cant withdraw it to use it as gas.

I don't know about this situation. But if money forehead puts a standing offer to buy any xcm at a certain price then that would be a way to set a floor. It doesn't seem like they should be able to just ban anyone from selling for less than a certain price, even if they want to. Is xcm traded on any other exchanges? Maybe they did just arbitrarily set a floor if they are the only place to trade it, but that seems like it would be fucked up.
