Can someone confirm my thoughts on taxes and PMs
As I understand it, when buying pms, the IRS will not be notified if your purchase is under $10,000 in a 24-hour period.
When it comes to selling, if you are selling American Gold eagles, again there will be no automatic referral to the IRS from a reputable dealer. If you sell other types of gold coins like the Canadian or German ones, then there will be reporting done. If you were selling something like a gold eagle the IRS kindly asks you to submit your own capital gains taxes.
But if we're speaking honestly, what's stopping anybody from not reporting?
What's stopping anybody from buying and selling go eagles with no tax implication? Again, can someone also confirm about silver coins?

>> No.49757198

>>49757049
There was never a notification for buying. With Gold Eagles, there is no forms required when you sell them - from either you or the buyer (coin-shop,etc). Of course, you're supposed to report any profit, but who would? The bigger issue you run into is with the banks. If you deposit 10K cash or more, you have to report where it came from.

wearable gold. Simple as.

Got this on ebay for $2400 CAD with no tax or duties. The guy said it sat in a safe since the 70s and was never worn.

It's solid 14k with an iced diamond dial that shines like the headlights of a car. It's the most enjoyable watch in the summer because even the bracelet texture shines.

The appraisal calls it a woman's watch but it fits my 7" wrist and 27mm was normal for square mens watches in the past.

I get compliments on it every time I wear it out.

Most people in this thread fear the current US dollar will not last the decade.
The Fed talking about implementing a CBDC make me in particular very nervous about the dollars future.
It would probably be wise to park it in some sort of safe slow growth mutual fund for a decade, depending on how fast you think you'll get enough to buy a home.
Just remember that cashing out involves a bunch of taxes and fees, so keep it in mind.

if you're going to buy mutual funds just get index funds instead. Index funds have no fund manager and the fund owner only has to pay a royalty fee to the creator of the index that the fund is based on. Much cheaper to run than mutual funds and you keep more of the profits.

Still, mutual funds and index funds are both denominated in your local currency so if you currency gets ruined your portfolio value gets wiped out.

>I have a similar mistrust of stocks and cash, which is why I've been leaning towards saving my future house payment in metals.

Think of the "you will own nothing and be happy types". They want you investing in the stock market and legitimize it by making it seem like the only thing anyone should care about is how the stock market is doing.

Ask yourself though -- if you own stocks, what do you actually own? You gave money to a company then you got a digital asset in an online brokerage account. Then you trade that digital asset to other suckers and what the company does doesn't matter and none of the profits go to you.

If you're going to invest - build your own companies or buy stakes in companies built by trusted associates that you can take profits from.

If you own stocks you own nothing other than a digital token of BS that is no different than owning crypto or gold ETFs or other scams.

Notice: kikes don't want you owning real companies that you profit from and they don't want you owning gold. They only want you owning scam assets that have no real value.

This may not work like it did in 2008. Interest rates even just a few months ago were almost like getting free loans. Only the very dumbest of idiots would've opted for ARMs. Also, 20 years ago Bush had made it easier for "underserved" people to get loans much more easily, and the interest rates then made ARMs more attractive. When the inevitable bad loans couldn't get paid, there's your crises and all the foreclosures.

This time the big challenge is competition from the large rental corporations offering cash to sellers. They have billions in reserve to pull the rugs out from under you if they decide your choice neighborhood is the one to go for.

Also it isn't called barter if you are using a commodity as a medium of exchange. At that point it's money. Barter is having eggs and needing wheat but the guy who has wheat wants fish so you go find a guy that has fish and wants eggs so you can get wheat.
Money is having eggs and selling them for currency that can be used for whatever.

There are other factors involved. One is folks - and institutions - that were playing the Greater Fool game, "flipping" houses in a bull market, and ended up themselves being the Greater Fool. Now they own a property they can't sell at a profit and can't afford to keep. That's where the "strategic foreclosures" come into play and the houses get marked to market for resale.

Another is folks who have changing circumstances - kids leaving, divorce, or new kids or partners arriving. They can end up with a house that is either too big or too small. If they are lucky, they bought before the bubble really inflated, in which case they will just sell it at the new market price and move on.

Both of these possibilities put houses on the market at the new, lower price.

Juneteenth is absolutely stupid. If Nogs wanted to celebrate emancipation so much they would celebrate either the emancipation proclamation like we celebrate July 4th or celebrate when the Confederacy lost. Not "Hey Texas was a little behind everybody else in banning slavery, woo!"
"Juneteenth" was just picked because any idiot can remember a holiday with a dumb name like "Juneteenth". Considering half of them only have the brain power to spell "you" as "u" or says "aks" instead of "ask" no wonder that was picked instead of "equal emancipation" or "abolition" day.
BTW just going to put this out here, I think I saw the word "Juneteenth" ONCE between my entire life and 2020. I don't remember even fucking Obama talking about it. Don't let the media gaslight you into thinking this is an important or highly requested federal holiday, this is just demoralization brownie points.

Sure a gun is nice but if I was a bong (just a guess) I would lean towards owning a few spears. Most of what you'll face in a shtf is other people with melee and in melee spear is king.
Save the ammo when ever possible. The threat will likely be more than enough.

Generally dumb because of the insane markup, but it's ok if you like them. There's way worse things to waste your money on. These were 10 bucks more expensive than the non plated ones, but they were sold out of half the non gilded and my autism required a full matching set. The only real bonus is they won't ever tarnish.

It's annoying for sure. I think I was quoted about that same price price for a 1/10 ozt gold eagle, bought some silver because I couldn't justify paying a 60% premium on a bullion issue coin. When gold came really close to $2000 earlier this year a 1/4 ozt partially scuffed gold maple cost me almost $600. The powers that be don't want us having silver and they REALLY don't want us having gold.
See: The Treaty of Versailles that took Germany's gold, the 1933 federal reserve executive order, America abandoning the gold standard in 1972 and so on. I think I'm taking the gold pill.

Partially what anon said here >>49766394 but supposedly it has to do with smelting & engraving costs on a smaller level? It sounds so bogus, but it's not like I'm crunching numbers for costs.

Of course most of us here could walk out and buy An entire gold once, but pulling that $1900 trigger isn't a good feeling.

A house in the midwest and the southern rust belt only have a $12K down payment.

1 gold oz is 1/6 of a down payment of a house. It's crazy, but thats what it takes to secure yourself today. 2 generations of peasants wouldn't even be able to afford a gram of gold. 1 oz of gold by the end of the year. BELIVE IT
