since you can interview/poll/etc. to establish what reasons people have for valuing a good or service -- why they have bought it, why they would buy it, etc. -- it is no argument to state that this is begging the question and utility itself is subjective. of course it is, but you are still wrong, because we can objectively measure it en masse.
