They reported 31 million tonnes of gold ore.
Even if we assume extremely generously that they have by far the most saturated ore ever for a large scale operation - 2 ounces per tonne - that's a total of 1758 tons of gold.

I'll cut to the chase: the implications are none at all. Uganda is essentially a criminal enterprise. An incompetent criminal enterprise, embroiled in civil wars, with a history of lying whenever it seems like a good idea. If any mining ever happens there, even if there truly is a rich vein, it will amount to a trickle.

So why is the story getting so much play? Because there are forces at work who want to divert people from investing in gold and other precious metals. There is pretty much a constant stream of discouraging commentary in PMG and biz. And yet the uber insiders - central banks and independent governments like China and Russia - are stacking gold like maniacs. There is a reason for that. Gold will soon emerge as THE commodity of world trade.

To add to this, the country that now can not be named (wtf!) could actually begin mining any number of these noted deposits themselves with help from hired contractors, but even starting yesterday, it would take at least several years to get any production going for hard rock mining. Placer gold is different, they could be mining placer gold within 2-4 weeks including prep work and equipment delivery but that wouldnt be nearly as economical as the hard rock deposits. Placer gold in that part of africa is ultra fine, almost minute dust, an absolute headache to recover with conventional setups, so they would need to bring in centrifuges, and GOOD LUCK finding that sort of tech in africa right now. Mercury setup sluices could work too but would be only 40% effective from my studying of the regions placers.

In short, its all good, no need to panic.

Hey guys 10 franc anon again. The dudes saying it’s a restrike and passed his lcs’s Sigma. I have a hard time believing him. Turns out there is a bead at the end of Rex for the 10 Fr but not the 20 Fr. Do you guys think it’s fake? I do but if it passes XRF then I should be good to go right? The XRF is being done by a trusted middle man

That was me, anon, but mods on there shoah'd my listing since two of them were made of copper. That said, yes they really can go for that much but the problem is how difficult it is for buyers and sellers to actually convene making absolutely zero market volume on them.
But if you've been looking for them that long, I'm sure we could work out a trade.

That's a good price for a roughly AU-XF condition coin. I bought mine for $35 to give you a reference point.
I want to collect a type set of each Design of Drei Mark at some point, but the post-1914 minted Drei Marks all have stupidly low mintages that puts them well outside of my price range.
>I happen to respect this one too much to make a pocket fondler but it is finally a more fondleable coin than the death dollar
I'd fondle mine if I could too fren, but it's a valuable lower mintage coin and the design commands a lot of respect. Just read through the inscription on it and you'll pretty quickly realize that the Western World lacks the Artists and the Spirit to create such a coin nowadays.

The coin was an exception. More interesting shapes of metal are my jam now. Where once I thought pure metal were best I now favor bullion as a raw material of known grade to be alloyed. Love me them 14k and under alloys now.

On the rare occasion I end up buying scrap the premium can be high, but like a coin loving numisfag I know when 200% spot is actually 20% of its second hand value. The best and most loved part of my stack was 0.7 grams of 14k for $85 after shipping, and easily worth more.

this is fun for us, and the thing that would enrapture a child, but the best gift a father can give their children is financial savvy and understanding. this message may not land with a yoo-ho-ho and shiver me timbers vibe.

I'd maybe explain that this is what you are setting aside for her. simple and true, then perhaps let her know it will be for when she gets married and this is your contribution to setting up her new life, continue to save for her but don't pay expenses or give other gifts when the time comes and make her realize it could be blown on a ceremony but then won't help buy her first home, which if she can manage that without spending this can help with her children's expenses or education, which she may herself be inclined to build it up further before passing it down rather than spending any of it. perhaps if you point out that this mindset being carried onto her children in kind is what would establish your and her line as secure and successful indefinitely.

this is a clever way to get children out of a spending and into a saving and investing mindset. the right mindset won't need the cash to succeed either so she will be set

Should I buy more Silver or more Chainlink?

I am leaning towards Chainlink since it is so cheap right now. then after LINK takes off I will purchase more silver.

(I already have health stacks of both.

The goose dollar coin is similar in collectability to the silver Kennedy half dollar in the US. It came out just as silver was to be phased out of the money supply. It was a commemorative coin. Both of these factors led to them being hoarded and kept in near mint conditions. They are still very popular with collectors even though there are lots of them on the market. They are still affordable at only a marginal numismatic premium due to general availability.
Unfortunately the goose dollar coins are getting chinese fakes made more often these days so buyer beware.

They will be more responsible then. You don't hand over 6 figures to an 18yo and expect them to make good decisions. Besides having to go it alone for a little.bit isn't a bad thing.
