FUD. bancor dao has voted and all rewards are ended. the only component to the APY is fees. the bnt component of withdrawls is exactly how the impermanent loss function works. you'd know this if you did any research. the bnt is not being printed to make up for this IL. this token will explode when all the panic sellers exit. vampire migration coming next. this is the smartest play on biz right now, do the needful and stack up. last one buying is the sucker.

There isn't a "death spiral" going on, people are just exiting the markets

>> No.49679270

>>49678675
The fud isn’t hyper inflation of BNT. The real fud is that you have a single sided staking that pays out in two tokens. The price of BNT needs to be high and have deep liquidity, because IL protection comes from dumping BNT into the token you originally staked when you withdraw.

The question is: do trading fees from dumping BNT into your original token after withdrawal cover the reduction in BNT price from the trade? If not, the potential for bank run is possible as more people withdraw and dump BNT for their single token, but the price will dump and leave the last withdrawals shit out of luck. Any of you staking in Bancor it’s time to save yourself while you can.

the recent vote to end LM rewards should instill confidence in LPs that the Bancor team believes their platform is attractive enough to LPs that they don't need to lure them in with ponzinomics. sounds bullish to me. the fact that token supply hasn't drastically increased in the past month, and has in fact slightly decreased despite awful market conditions contradicts the idea that there will be a bank run on BNT.

BNT buyers are the last line of defense against a bank run, but the problem is that the weakness of the system is this “confidence” in LPs. That is a probabilistic element, where deterministically there isn’t enough tokens to make everyone whole if BNT dumps and there’s a bank run. Don’t lose your stack :)
