This is not about inflation or deflation. All currencies are free floating against the dollar, and they are kept in a pre-decided range. All central banks actively manage this, however the Yen is particularly troublesome and wants to move much higher.
Strengthening currencies is bad for exports, so they do not want to allow this to happen. Their response could be to "inflate" the Yen or sell other assets etc. It's undecided how/what they will do to combat this move.

There is a slight nuance here. Inflation vs deflation has to do with the creation/destruction of currency. (destruction such as paying off debts).
If a currency increases in value, it allows you to buy up foreign goods cheaper. However, this is not always good because an economy profits from actually selling more exports. This in turn will slow down domestic industry as foreigners cannot purchase as much of your production. \

All countries, at least while on the gold standard, maintained a net-zero balance of trade. Meaning your exports pay for your imports. If you end up consuming MORE than you pay for, your capital outflows will put a deflationary pressure on your economy. This is because gold leaves the banking system and the money supply contracts.

If a nation can not sell it's production(exports) on the global market because its currency is too high, then they can suffer in terms of how much they then can import. Because needing to purchase imports that is not paid with your exports removes capital from your country.

Does this make sense? I don't understand it that well but it might be slightly wrong.

Hedgies have to buy. The market sell off can do whatever it needs to. Shorts are obligated to close their positions. The entire concept of a market crash is that sellers desperately want out of the market and want to acquire cash.
GME has the opposite problem, shorts are nothing more than future-buyers. It's literally crash proof. And the cherry on top is it has no debt.

Saudi is a beautiful country. The locals near the cities (especially Riyadh & Jeddah) like foreigners (especially those who take an interest into their culture) and Crown Prince Mohammed Bin Salman has been working at modernising the kingdom and making it a more attractive place for tourists (while still respecting the culture of his people).

Saudi Arabia is VERY underrated. People always flock to the UAE but Saudi (IMO) is better. They also have some beautiful natural landmarks and archeological sites that are open to visitors. It’s also a very safe place (even for solo female travellers!) crime rates are A LOT lower than the west (due to the severity of consequences).
