This is what I'm worried about now. The last cycle we could still sell the dream of defi. This cycle's bull market brought more people in through meme coins and 100000% yield farming. Then they all got rekt and hate crypto now. bear market is now exposing all of defi's flaws. BTC's mechanism and narrative is still simple enough to keep it going but smart contract platforms are going to have a hard time finding real use cases to actually drive users back into the space.
