Its been a while when this was first discussed. It was brought up by an ICP dev and they explained how it works. So no, ICP cant really enter a death spiral. I think it has something to do with node rewards given to node providers. They discussed a theory about a death spiral i think at 4 dollars.

Now that i look at that article again it seems it might have been the one, since it was posted in december. But i remember a more in depth explanation. Unfortunately wakarimasen is not working so i have no idea how to search back all the way. The last few months have had very little ICP general threads with good info unfrotunately. Most of the good stuff was discussed before the Ukraine conflict. Since then it seems most of the anons that believe in ICP are loading their bags and just waiting it out to see what happens. Which makes sense since the amount of dissolving ICP is lower and lower. But yes, ICP at 3 dollars for a few months would be a bad situation as explained in the article. We will have to see what happens. Like most people pointed out way back in October (besides the moonboys) is that this is a long term hold.

Whatever i could write right now is just from memory as i have no archives to pull on.

The basic is that the guy is an OG, he never tripfags and hes been involved in a lot of crypto projects since old school /biz/. He bought a huge bag (posted proof) and also explained how he believes ICP has potential in the long term. I think he was also a early ETH adopter. I cant remember more of what he said but its his credentials that i looked up on wakarimasen that gave me hopium back then, for long term holding.

If https://archive.wakarimasen.moe/ this comes back online in August like how its been speculated with the old archives intact, id recommend looking him up. Im sad myself that i did not screencap all of what he wrote.

Ive been lurking in 90% of the ICP related threads in /biz/ since late September and the fact is i cant lookup some of the gems is really frustrating.
