So there was some good ideas and progress in >>45803 about creating an app or website that functions as both a social media site, an ARG and sort of like a tourism/local business advertisement that at a period of time gives users a task to perform with a random stranger selected based on mutual interests and personality, the app becoming less about the task (which should be interesting and set in exotic locations in your city, for example in my city of Brisbane you could be tasked to meet someone at the landmark tibetan temple made during the world expo and do yoga or something together) and more about bonding with a random stranger by doing random things that you aren't embarrassed about doing because you may never see them again

other features were also discussed like interwoven branching activities that involve a two opposing groups competing against each other and using a consistent team for the duration of "storyline", winning a section of the storyline may offer rewards like "intel" on next weeks activity or a dossier on one of the enemy players to look out for (leaving out their contact details but listing their non essential data that they have provided like hair, eye color, and "known associates" which would be the other players on their team) all of this would be opt in or out, you could choose to simply do the simple social activities with stranger if you prefer, favoring strangers to increase the possibility of coming across them again by a small percentage (probably 10- 20%), locale specific activities like a mentioned above (we'd have to start with generic activities and then hire local people to sort of scout the area and write interesting activities in their area, would prefer to hire people with experience in the tourism industry for this purpose) all of these would be more advanced stuff we could add on later.

The profit model was still being decided on. advertising seems like the most interesting choice discussed, the program in question presents an excellent opportunity for local franchises like bars and restaurants to invest to have activities take place at or around their venue, another anon suggested including a discount system where during the "mission you would receive 20% off something in the target location". other ideas include a startup or monthly fee as a premium option to eliminate advertising

our target audiance would be

>Neets who want to leave their basement
>people who are bored and looking to explore their locale
>people in new location that want to know more about where they are and do new things
>people stuck in a rut with their lives and want to meet new exciting people in a mutually non threatening environment that both agreed to
>tourists traveling alone looking to meet the locals and try the local activities available

if enough interest is shown i'll post a tiny chat so interested parties can flesh out some of the finer details like staff needed, payment for staff, starting capital, how upper management and management of company funds should be handled.

what if, instead of paying people to scout out areas for you and write missions, you have user generated missions.

increases interactivity to the client and reduces costs. you could have your official activities alongside user created

Such contribution
Much helping

Anyways OP, I say we cut back a little on the whole competition thing and focus primarily on meeting other people part.
That's just my opinion though.

yes, it was more of an idea to expand upon after its already beem established. some features could even outright be used as separate products to release

Well now we just need people who know how to make apps.

>> No.49736

We should probably get an IRC channel and maybe some Google Docs to organize roles and information.

Do we have any app developers or graphic designers in these threads?

/asp/ here, this would be pretty fun to use if i could use it to sparr of fight other fighters in my city

>input style, weight class, ect
>"anon you are to fight anon 2 at (sceneic location here)
>app keeps track of a leaderboard of the stable of fighters
>shit ends up like tekken fighting in cool public locations

That sounds more like it should be an addon or plugin than part of the core app. Plus I'm pretty sure that'd be illegal.
