Heard a few people talking about having 2 jobs at the same time, and I am seriously considering it.

Ideally 2 full time remote jobs would be ideal. Hoping to just keep my main job but also have a low effort 'analyst' type job which just requires some pissing about with spreadsheets that I could probably automate with VBA and not say anything.

Who here is/has double jobbed? How did it go? Did they find out about each other? Any tips or advice?

In crypto it's pretty common to be working on 2 or 3 different projects at once. At one point I was pulling in 2 salaries plus side gig money at the same time almost made $30k in a month. Now I'm just working on one project part-time and trying to get my own startup off the ground.

Yea, always wondered if the tax situation would give you away.

Most jobs the company does your taxes, and was wondering if theyd be able to tell, or do they have insight about how much tax you pay?

Hyperworking is bullshit mostly, you hear of some people saying they have 10 jobs which is utter nonsense.

It is very likely a concept that companies purposefully made go viral so they can negotiate monitoring people working remote and get them to accept the surveillance.

They do your withholding as though it's your only job based the number of w4 exemptions claimed. They have no clue what else goes on your 1040, they just jam the number of claimed exemptions in the payroll computer and the payroll software does the withholding.

The IRS doesn't even know what's going on until the end of the year and they receive 1099s from everyone.

Look here you little faggot I'm jobsmaxing over 30 different jobs right now across over two dozen laptops. I make more in a single month then you'll ever make in your life. My penis is over 12 inches long and i've had sex with over half the women in Japan. Feel grateful I even gave you a moment of my time you little worm. Just 2? Nigger this wfh life I've got 11 jobs going right now, all I do is interviews and sit in on an occasional meeting sometimes multi meetings at once and just say generic bs
>pro tip always answer questions that aren't obvious with another question

I'm pulling down an easy 80k a month and idgaf if they fire me as long as they don't catch on I have other jobs I'm sweet. Lied about going to uni and cyber security creds but nobody ever checks and none of the interviews are recorded so even if I do lie it's not on record, this covid wfh ba is the greatest thing to ever happen to me. (90% of the 60 jobs I've had over the past year have all been desktop support jobs mainly because for the first 4 weeks they don't see you're SLAs, the first 2 weeks are a right off because of "training" and induction, another month to "clean up you're act" and 2-4 weeks notice. Plus fake sick leave which is 2 weeks and 1 weeks annual leave accured After each job (14-16 weeks) I drain maybe 12-15k from them for what really amounts to maybe 22 hours of work?

I was actually thinking how feasible that would be. Literally just apply for jobs constantly and then just do fuck all, and get paid for a few months of salary.

Your job will literally just be getting jobs.
What references would you use though? Your past employer might get confused giving out 10 references for you each week. Although I guess that can be faked easily enough to fool an HR roastie.

>> No.49459109

It doesn't seem worth it if you cared about keeping one of the jobs. Too much stress having to constantly make sure you're dialed in to the right call and be available.

If you don't care long term about either, it would definitely be doable for a while. Im pretty sure a guy at work was working his new job and just flying under the radar while fully remote.

I'm thinking here is probably a sort of slow but steady way of doing it.

You have your main job which is your priority, but then you search for a second job which is relatively flexible in terms of your commitments, eg, work can be done later in the evening, or it cant be easily automated. Then its just a case of trial and error. If the job seems like you can do that then organically over the months start automating as much as possible, and keep your work commitments as low as possible. This is especially easy with any sort of Excel type jobs where you can VBA the automation.

If the job turns out not to be like that, then just quit after a few months and try again until you find the perfect secondary low effort flexible job.

>Who here is a double-jobber?
very common in the government. Many, Many people have a second business doing tax preparation, credit repair, real estate appraisal while on the government dime and time. Even more common is people using their government position to profit off of contracts and actions by dealing with their business on the other side of the transaction - hiring a software company and approving massive cost overruns while owning all of or part of the software company. I saw government IT project go from $7 million to $55 million to about $90 million and the agency hired the owner of the main contractor as head of the IT department overseeing the project while the husband rand the private company doing the programming and contract management. This goes on all the time everywhere.

this will look like an issue if you list both as full time, but if you list the main job as 8-5, then the second as 5:30 to 9:30 then you are just a hard worker working two jobs.

BS you have 7 jobs, since that comes out to around 17hours per week per job.

I'm assuming if its true that you have maybe 2 full timers, and some part time gigs for the other 5.

I'd do the same, but I fucking hate call centre work. Did it for 5 years.
