We're actually, unironically going to be rich

Imagine the situation when staking and CCIP comes out.
CCIP cuts crypto fees across the board by 90%. EVERY project in the entire space starts using it.
Staking causes chainlink to be the first crypto in the entire space that generates real, non-inflationary value. The first legit use case of the blockchain The only crypto that will be able to say it isn't a ponzi.

And it's all going to happen this year.

No one answered this question because you know he is right. CCIP makes cross-chain communication easier & secure. But CCIP does not reduce gas fees because all oracle computation is already off-chain computation, optimized with OCR etc.

it will not reduce cost because you need to deliver a data into l1 blockchain. you need to spend that gas. solidity tricks will reduce gas fees. OCR already optimized everything & reduce gas fees.

What chainlink can do at this point ? since they have a monopoly, they can increase $link cost per job. They need to find new use cases to spent more $link or maybe they can say, if CCIP information carries 10bilion, you need to pay at least 1000 $link etc.

i dont see any reason for forking chainlink node & smart contract libraries. you can even use any erc20 token to pay the jobs.

but if you want to use anything on chainlink network, you need to pay with $link.

Chainlink is a decentralized token while XRP is a centralized coin with its own chain. Chainlink is blockchain agnostic meaning it can work with different underlying blockchain technologies. The chainlink token by itself doesn't do anything but it's designed as the one and only way to access the chainlink network which is currently in production. Basically, the chainlink token reflects the health of the chainlink ecosystem whose primary purpose is securely delivering real world data onto the blockchain in a provable, trustless manner.
