Dude, you are using terminology all wrong. I didn't know that.
You don't "raise cash" through sales kek, "raising" cash means using either debt or equity issuances to get some cash for the company to use.

Both of these things drive stock price down. This is partly why pharma stocks pump like a MOTHERFUCKER and then get dumped suddenly a few days later - the company issues a ton of equity at once to raise capital for facilitating future IND research operations in hopes of NDA approval

Why shouldn't people buy SIGA?
Call options are unwise because there's no way to predict when hedge funds will stop shorting, and when (((experts))) will flip the narrative and begin calling for lockdowns.
But anyone with half a brain can see that the outbreak will continue to spread, cases will continue to rise, and there will be a need for antiviral therapeutics to prevent permanent scarring once this becomes endemic.
It seems prudent to buy and hold SIGA.

>DEF is created from urea (mixing ammonia with CO2, normally coal or nat gas is used to produce it)
Urea is a nitrogen source used for fertilizer, hence in short supply.
Russia and Ukraine together export 28% of fertilizers made from nitrogen and phosphorous
Russia also exported 11% of the world’s urea, and 48% of the ammonium nitrate
Chyna produces 50% of ammonia, but is banning exports during shortages.
Ammonia is created using oil.

If anyone else was curious. So not only is everything shipped using oil, but all food production is based off of burning oil to create fertilizer.
So in theory the US could increase production of these goods using its own oil but not overnight.

I have no idea how that relates to what I said, but you generally should tilt more to bonds when you're closer to retiring because they provide income and they're more stable. We just live in a time where bonds give terrible yields, but this is already changing somewhat in 2022.
If you're all-stocks and just living on the dividends, your portfolio will be really choppy over time versus a more typical 50-50 portfolio. You will also get heemed when there's a recession and companies suspend their divideneds. Bogleheads would say to gradually increase bonds towards about 50% at retirement age.

what on earth. this thread smells like a bunch of bots trying to make intelligent conversation. the rate is tied to inflation, you aren't getting shit from the fed jacking up rates. you're confusing this with bonds that trade on the open market or something else.
if you think the rate is going up you are forecasting absolutely HELLISH stagflation.

>>49422314
Alright that's fine. this thread is just a complete dumpster fire so i'm a little salty tonight. you're young, so bonds aren't a big deal for noww, but you should gradually increase your bond holdings as you get older so that a recession doesn't delay your retirement by 20 years or something. stocks are hella choppy and people forgot that in the market of 2020-2022.
if you're maxing all your retirement accounts you're doing just fine and you should make it easily. you could just shoot for 10% of all your future purchases to be FTBFX or similar, and slightly up that as you age.

You don't have to. Just cash out regularly and enjoy the continued stock gains.

The fixed rate on I-Bonds is, last I checked, 0%. So I-Bond yields are based entirely on the urban based CPI, which is readjusted every 6 months. If the CPI print is 2% your yield will be adjusted to that.
I-Bonds are TIPS for the little guy. They are pinned to inflation (or typically undeshoot because of constant readjustments to CPI). It IS just a bank account.
