You mean gold that has been stored by a third party in a safe somewhere right? And that you get an "I owe you" as a prove that the gold is yours? In that case:

>Pro's
- cheaper, you don't pay premiums
- safer, you don't have to store the gold at your home
- more liquid, as you just can sell the paper certificate

>Cons
- Not your keys, not your gold
- Gold can be consficated from your safe
- Not anonymous
- Who says that they indeed have the gold they promise

In short, counterparty risk

>what fancy treasure chests there are to stash your swag in.
We've dabbled in it. Somethings to consider:
- Wooden cigar boxes. A couple of local liquor/smoke stores sell empty cigar boxes for dirt cheap - a couple bucks. Problem: the wood is usually quite thin - cigars aren't very dense/massive. Keep these boxes small so they don't break.
- Humidors. The next step up in class vs price, you can get very nice ones for one or two ozt of silver. New ones often come with the humidifier sponge still unattached - toss it, and you have a nice box.Again, watch for strength.
- New, classy. Lots of etsy woodworkers make boxes that are fabulous. Pic related, though on this he cheaped out on the latch and it's comically lame. These will cost you several ounces.
- Antiques. From ebay or thrift shops, box sellers know what they have and charge easily as much as fancy new ones.

In any case, watch the size. Your eyes may be bigger than your arms. Calculate the volume, multiply by the density of the metal, and figure the full box would be about 75% of that (unless you buy perfect blocks which take every cubic mm of space).

Also, you can buy tarnish-resisting felt sheets by the yard. One yard would enable you to line several boxes. Aside from padding the interior, it helps keep tarnish down if that's an issue for you.

However, imagine you are a central banker. Why on earth would you want a gold backed currency?
Making a gold-backed currency severely hinders your ability to print money and leech off interest rates.

>People are dumb and don't save money
Yes. The vast majority are also completely unaware that our current financial system has no actual backing, and is just fiat through-and-through.

It's the bankers I'm worried about, not peasants. As long as bankers issue fiat currency - and peasants accept it - there will not be a gold backed currency

Please note that it is the people in charge of the high-end financial system that are stacking gold most vigorously. They are not doing it because it's pretty. Something is up.

The reason they might want a return to a gold standard - at least temporarily - is that being the issuer of the world's reserve and trade currency is very lucrative. The USA used its position after WWII to tremendous advantage. Others would like a shot at that. But once the dollar fails, a badly burned world is not just going to accept any old toilet paper currency the Biden administration cooks up. And they don't really trust China or Russia either. People will want something secure than promises. And that means commodity money. And 3000 years of almost uninterrupted history suggests that the commodity of choice will be gold and/or silver.

Lovely. So it looks like if I want one of similar size it has got to be a double sovereign. I found out you can get one even bigger, the five sovereign piece but apparently you can only get them in collections.

That's pretty much the case with any commodity. Who will give you a better price when buying a used car, a dealer or private person? How about when it comes time to sell it? Who will pay you more, a dealer or a private person? Same with guns. Same with almost anything. Dealers are businessmen, not social service agencies. They try to buy low and sell high. You, on the other hand, try to shop around so you can do the opposite.

It is the bankers and governments who are stacking the gold. Russia has already shown its hand with respect to using gold as an international currency. And China is loaded to the gills with gold. That isn't for doorstops and paperweights.

You are right, though, that bankers prefer fiat. But even bankers don't always get their first choice. And when the fiat system crashes, they will take the second choice - a currency they are already well-supplied with. Until they can subvert it again.

Entirely agree. WW2 is overrated. I don’t understand why retards would want to go back to life in the 20s and 30s to relive an earlier stage of the problem, instead of addressing the problem directly. The nazis were the “good guys” of ww2, but they were a product of their time. Going back to “being like the nazis” is just like liberals who view the 60s as peak liberalism and want to go back to it. Both examples are ignorant of the actual problem and just seek to revert to an earlier stage of said problem instead of directly addressing it. It would’ve been better for the world if ww1 never happened or if the US isn’t pushed to be involved by its “leadership” than if Germany won ww2.

There is a big ding on one of the horse leg, Mr Anon'.

Typical "Royal" """Mint""" """""""proof""""""" ((((""""quality"""")))).
Notice the"quotes" and parenthesis, they're here because I'm saaaarcastic. Because I think the Royal British Mint quality is -open quote- shit -end quote-.
You just bought a PRE-DAMAGED proof coin at a several hundred percent premium! Congratulaaaation, numb nuts. You will never make your money back and the coin damageeed, just like your skull.

Yes, I know. I know those are from EIP. But EIP have the (((Jewish))) "British" """Mint""" as a subcontrator. And they have the worst quality control in the business. Yes, it's the highest premium.

And worst of all. You have two ugly hags on that coin. That old ass, shaggy tits, flabby cheeks "faerie queene" and the typical, classical, eternal, lizard queen.

Until then we will see more shootings and higher prices as they struggle to maintain control. A lot of people, myself included hold both, because the future isnt a set course
In some sort of futuristic european post consumption utopia, monero would be an ideal currency. as would it in a bladerunner cyberpunk dystopia. Any sort of collapse or regression of society would have gold/silver coming out on top as king.

The only alternate is that the status quo continues, which I think is not possible nor sustainable. Stack both and youre guaranteed at least a better percentage chance of surviving the coming hell. BTC holders are retarded, because the lack of privacy makes it useless in the societal scenarios where a blockchain currency is viable and boomers who think blockchains are ponzi schemes because they still use yahoo mail (>>49414046) are likewise retarded.

This also why you see Monero maxis sometimes buy XRP as it represents the exact opposite of what XMR is supposed to be, basically a hedge in support of kike globalism.

He shouldn't have a hat, since Hindenberg didn't have a hat on the original, Apu shouldn't have one either.
Also, it should only be a bust of his head, including any of Apu's body makes him look like a sack of potatoes.

Maybe add a pocket or a sling. Or show more of the head and cut off at the collar.

The original also didn't say .999 silber, or 1 troy ounce, or precious metals general 2022, or have a memefrog, or showed a rank on hindenburg, or said apu.

If you aren't going for accuracy, why make it a Reichsmark rip-off to begin with?
If Apu is supposed to be Hindenberg, make him Hindenberg.

Yup, everyone with an opinion you don't like is from reddit. If you don't like how it ends up just do what I plan on doing, don't buy it. Or is only buying things you like also a reddit thing?

I think I prefer with the hat. however; I know the original pic looks just like that, but I bet if you adjust apu so his front isn't facing forward (turn his body more to his counterclockwise, so the body is facing the direction non-hat is facing) it would look best
