I have been shorting the yurozone since March and I got wrecked pretty consistently, because they have not really crashed in nominal terms yet. I still hope there will be a big correction once the ECB starts their own tightening cycle.

I remember that last year there was a lot of talk about whether the inevitable crash will be in real or nominal terms. So far it seems that the US had their nominal crash while the Yuros are slowly bleeding out in real terms. Check the EUR/USD. There are a few other reasons why the Euro markets seem to behave much less volatile than the US. One of those might be that they are not as tech heavy, e.g. check the Germany top 40.

My point is betting on a nominal crash is risky, especially because the ECB is moving their rate hike at a glacial pace.

The filing of the lawsuit is actually really recent. The stock price barely moved as a result that's why I think it's bottomed. If you look at the sheer amount of pump and dump over the last year for this stock a lawsuit was inevitable. Legally speaking they are very buttoned up though. Disclaimers on literally everything and a good legal team guides their approach. You can decide for yourself on that though.

Potential catalysts are
1. Potential listing to nasdaq. (S1 filed waiting on sec review)
2. Incoming revenue from ticket sales subsidiary should be good after quiet period is over.

I'm in it because I like the progress they make though and initial share dilution seems to be out of the way. It's a long term hold for me just bought at .09.

That seems to describe something slightly different though. The article talks about how large sections of middle management were eliminated on the advice of consulting firms like McKinsey -- meaning people in the company having little/no management experience, which leads to mainly former McKinsey consultants taking management positions. This new management elite has, of course, no actual experience with the company's products/operations, and generally value "maximizing shareholder value" over actually delivering the best product possible.

Also a harrowing trend that explains why so many things have gotten worse in recent decades, but not quite the same as the bullshit, fake jobs.

With the econony looking worse everyday and a potential crash looming id like something that has short term potential to milk. You said they did numerous pump and dumps which means their reputation is severy tarnished which could mean they go under due to no one wanting to associate with them. The S1 thing MIGHT make me reconsider but given the low volume it has and poor repute, I cant really see it being wise.

>>49402561
>which leads to mainly former McKinsey consultants taking management positions
yeah, though that's just one component of it.
iirc (it's been a while since i read the article) it suggests that mckinsey pushed for this shift specifically because they profit from it, though it doesn't state that all management positions have been replaced by external consultants. in reality, the destruction of the career ladder also lead to dedicated internal management personnel that never had to climb the ladder (like mrs. product manager). this is why i linked the article: mckinsey destroyed the career ladder for their own gain (and some dubious moral argument for shareholder profit maximization), and because of this, what remains of middle management does not actually consist of qualified workers that climbed the career ladder and have sufficient domain knowledge to manage workers. this is regardless of whether management personnel is from consulting companies or from the company itself; no functional career ladder - no qualified middle management.

>but not quite the same as the bullshit, fake jobs
i don't think product management is a bullshit job per se (it's just a silly name for a team manager that also concerns himself with branding, scouting the competition and such). what's bullshit about the linked tweet is that that girl seems utterly underqualified (and admits to that herself) to be effective in her position. perhaps part of the issue is that branding and traditional management work should've never been joined into one position in the first place.

It's basically what the article describes.

>In effect, management consulting is a tool that allows corporations to replace lifetime employees with short-term, part-time, and even subcontracted workers, hired under ever more tightly controlled arrangements, who sell particular skills and even specified outputs, and who manage nothing at all.
>When restructurings eradicated workplace training and purged the middle rungs of the corporate ladder, they also forced companies to look beyond their walls for managerial talent—to elite colleges, business schools, and (of course) to management-consulting firms. That is to say: The administrative techniques that management consultants invented created a huge demand for precisely the services that the consultants supply.

The whole consulting industry is basically just a scam to create more demand for consultants.

Really only one big pump and dump though. It was more due to meme stock madness and the fact it was a spac that people piled in without knowing the details. Personally I don't think the company intentionally pumped and dumped and were straight forward with investors. It's something to take into consideration though. Also consider that they were able to ride that wave and gain a lot of recognition and assets because of it though. And you might want to be careful... the economy and stock market are two very different things.

But seriously, Schwab's thinking it's gonna be a bad week and they're right like 80% of the time:

Outlook
>The recent bullish rebound has stalled out and the indicators say more weakness and higher volatility is likely for next week.

Bottom Line
>While the economic data remains mixed, a hawkish Fed has kept markets on edge. That is unlikely to change any time soon. While the SPX is comfortable above a bear market, the bears have the upper hand at the moment.

>As you can see below, virtually all of the changes this week were downgrades and that shifts the overall balance back to Moderately Bearish for next week. Any further downside could also result in a slightly more Volatile week too.

a martingale is a sequence of random variables (i.e., a stochastic process) for which, at a particular time, the conditional expectation of the next value in the sequence is equal to the present value, regardless of all prior values.
A martingale is a class of betting strategies that originated from and were popular in 18th-century France. The simplest of these strategies was designed for a game in which the gambler wins the stake if a coin comes up heads and loses if it comes up tails. The strategy had the gambler double the bet after every loss, so that the first win would recover all previous losses plus win a profit equal to the original stake. Thus the strategy is an instantiation of the St. Petersburg paradox.

That only happens when you bet well over 1m, and you can 10-100x your investments every win with a 80% correct strat (even with a 50% correct strat you can make good money if you count correctly, have a suitable stack to start with, and don't get unlucky before your first substantial win, which is balanced so it's still a gamble).
At that point you just need to repeat the same strat with, say, 1m each bet instead of compounding and you're done in record time.

It's statistically impossible for you two to have these heights. 1/4 children usually are SLIGHTLY smaller than the average of the dad and mom, 1/4 SLIGHTLY taller, and 2/4 about the average.
5'5'' is only possible through significant damage in the womb that somehow didn't make him retarded. 5'8'' is a potential anomaly but still very unlikely. 5'10'' would have been the limit of normal.

I'm sure her pool of suitors is small with all the insecurities she brings out in men. I wouldn't even know how to approach her, I'd feel like I'm wasting her time. No one knows exactly what's going to happen and the more confident someone is about predicting it the more you know that person is an idiot that lacks the brainpower to consider a scenario where he is wrong.

You take the available information and you make your play. My opinion is as follows:

1. Sleepy Joe has done absolutely nothing to help with the energy crisis and demand just goes up in the summer. Gas prices are not coming down.

2. Food price pain is just beginning. If we have bad weather expect food riots/shortages due to the stop of production in Ukraine combined with the nitrogen fertilizer price skyrocketing (Russia produces 25% of worldwide supply)

3. Inflation has not stopped and is still going. It is eating into purchasing power and people are going to consume a lot less. Recession is inevitable.

4. Real estate is still far outside of the average buyer's reach and the market is controlled by speculators and leveraged HELOC morons. Rate hikes show no sign of slowing down so the real estate market WILL tank due to lack of suckers buying in because they defaulted on all their ARMS/HELOCs.

This will put the market on bearish and shaky ground as all that money that is not getting spent will create bad earnings reports for a lot of companies. I would say to look at recession proof industries.
