They are worth 10-15 grand. ( oriented at slld listings on ebay).Should I sell them? My fear is that, the newer generation will not care about them. Same way no one really cares about cars from the 30s or 40s. But I don't want cash lying around due to inflation. What do I do biz? I have gt3s, Star Wars Collectors Series, jurassic world, old Star Wars sets, Bionicle etc...

The sets from the 90s were peak comfy..

>> No.49403754

You crazy? To wait for the people who were born in the 80s to reach peak boomer-spending age. Like 40-50.
I have several sealed star wars sets that i could probably flip for a weak profit, unless i wait for maybe another 10 years...

Keep the sets a bit longer. Lego has announced that they are gonna increase the price for sets already out and future sets starting in september or some shit + they've been trying to go 'eco-friendly' with the pieces which = worse quality. Old sets will just go up and up.

I have sealed sets from the newest movies (the orange and black xwing, the troop transport with flame troopers, the newest Lamda shuttle).
Not sure they're with much now, but hopefully in the future. I just never wanted to build them, so i kept them sealed

The same plastic they used in the 90s has not been in use since the early 2000s, anyway

Depends if you really need the money anon. Rarities like that don’t really sway with ‘new generations’ there will always be needle in a haystack buyers that love the shit of that stuff. It’s just a matter of staying on niche forums and actually finding the buyers is the tricky part.

If it was me I'd sell it and spend it all on Link. What could be cooler than saying you made it from your stack of Lego?

These will only appreciate because of inflation you dimwit. Sell a few of the ones you are about the least.

I have 2 of him. I have most of the 2002-2007 star wars sets from when I was a kid. Got one in the cloud city set and another for $75 back in the early 2010s.

You can and try and invest that money in something else but if you can hodl, when millinery’s are in their 60s and have the most money they’ve ever had you can bet your ass that it’ll moon Lego sets 10x from current prices.

Personally I’d sell and invest in Chainlink or something

absolutely sell them. If you really want to buy the sets for your kids or something, the chinks make knockoff bricks that are on-part quality wise with 2020's Lego bricks

Ebay seller here. Wait to put up any listings until november. The christmas season always bumps up prices. Also, NEVER list auction style, you will get burned.

get rid of that sheet before the people it'll be nostalgia relevant to realise spending $5k on a toy atat is kind of pointless. it's reached peak nostalgia, possibly beyond it already

I'm currently investing in certain Lego themes for long term. Themes like Star Wars and Jurassic World will remain popular for a long time. I you're looking to sell, than Bricklink would be the best option. Lots of potential buyers and costs are low.

just search ended listings, throw out the top and bottom prices and you will get a very accurate price discovery for what you have. also, don't offer free shipping, and figure out what u can and can't fit in usps flat rate boxes.

The core audience isn't the newer and impoverished generation anon, it's the rich old fucks who want to complete their collections. The longer you keep them, the more valuable those sets will be.
