>May 24, 2022
>Samples from blood and upper respiratory tract became PCR negative 48 h after commencing tecovirimat and remained negative at 72 h
>No new lesions developed after 24 h of tecovirimat therapy
>Patient 7's (2021) haematological, renal, and liver profile remained within normal limits during the first week of therapy and she reported no adverse effects. On day 7 of tecovirimat, she was discharged to complete her second week of treatment at home; she remained clinically well and afebrile during and after finishing therapy.
>There was a temporal relationship to clinical and virological responses that were more rapid than those seen in untreated patients or patients treated with brincidofovir
>A similar reduction in lesion count and duration of PCR positivity in blood and upper respiratory tract was seen in macaques with smallpox when treated with tecovirimat
SIGA tecovirimat = after 24 hours no new lesions, after 48 hours no more positive PCR, no complications - other medicine brincidofovir caused liver damage and was less effective than tecovirimat

because securities that are not denoted in USD will have to be transferred to USD

let's say we have an exchange rate of 1.66 USD to 1 GBP as we had in the 2000's.

If you buy 1 stock of shell for 1000GBP you will pay 1666 USD at the time of trading.

If the stock is then worth 1000GBP still but the exchange rate has changed to 1.25USD to GBP you will only recieve 1250 USD when you sell

This desu. One of my biggest lessons over the past couple years to not take positions with expiration dates because it always takes way longer than you think. Also don't activate margin to buy the dip if you're out of buying power because if you think this is the dip then it most certainly is not the dip. It will dip to levels previously not thought possible and then those levels become the new normal. Just DCA shares after paying off your debts and sit comfy. You want to sell options not buy them. If it pops then use the IV spike and your shares as collateral to sell options. Be paid to sell.

>TSLA -10% in 1 day
I can't believe it. I just can't believe it. I honestly can't believe that it would continue to tank Monday after a huge sell off like that. Who knows it probably could but you would think that it would surge upwards after getting bid up next week. Then it would sell off again leading into CPI, Fed Meeting, and OpEx. I'm expecting the market to move sideways next week Monday through Wednesday before it starts selling off when CPI gets released Friday and into the following week as fear sentiment takes over investors about the next Fed Meeting' decision right before OpEx completes that very Friday. I'm expecting the market to create a higher low on the daily and weekly or possibly a triple bottom. I believe this is actually going to be the last time to buy the absolute bottom before the market rallys for the rest of the year with all the corporate buybacks, which are literally the largest share buyback in history.

>Who Killed the Phillips Curve? A Murder Mystery
>Is the Phillips curve dead? If so, who killed it? Conventional wisdom has it that the sound monetary policy since the 1980s not only conquered the Great Inflation, but also buried the Phillips curve itself. This paper provides an alternative explanation: labor market policies that have eroded worker bargaining power might have been the source of the demise of the Phillips curve. We develop what we call the “Kaleckian Phillips curve”, the slope of which is determined by the bargaining power of trade unions. We show that a nearly 90 percent reduction in inflation volatility is possible even without any changes in monetary policy when the economy transitions from equal shares of power between workers and firms to a new balance in which firms dominate. In addition, we show that the decline of trade union power reduces the share of monopoly rents appropriated by workers, and thus helps explain the secular decline of labor share, and the rise of profit share. We provide time series and cross sectional evidence.

What? There's nothing illegal about making a crazy bet. He's only in trouble if he posts an explicit confession like "I am buying SIGA calls to cause a gamma squeeze hope i dont go to jail lol".
You know how Bill Hwang is currently being sued by the SEC for market manipulation because he bought chinkshit, made it go up, then upped the leverage and bought even more and so on? They haven't presented any messages where he confesses that his intent is buying is to move the price (because that probably was not his intent), and they're gonna lose that case because buying alone is not a crime

Hey, retard, do not do this. That is stock manipulation via sentiment and you have with this post created a public record of your intent to do so. Options done this way on things that can be risky like SIGA are a good deal, because you pay pennies compared to actually buying the stock outright. There is a right and legal way to do this that falls within the purview of being free speech, and there is a wrong and illegal way to do this that uses a shitload of fake accounts helmed by people colluding with each other. Making a reddit post about SIGA and stating fundamentals and successes of the company and stock is entirely within the confines of being free speech, and it is a legitimately good way to spread the word about good companies. The other way of colluding with a bunch of other people with the same holdings is ABSOLUTELY something that gets prosecuted, same way people buying insider info off the deepweb to make trades with gets chased to the ends of the earth. Of which multiple posters have done exactly that and gotten heemed for.

LEAPS work if you think you will see relatively regular upside movement for a sustained amount of time.
Shorter-dated options rely on better timing. If you expect short-term upward movement, they're fine.
If you are trying to position for a sudden upswing, you can try lotto tickets like weekly or 0 day calls, but they really are lottery tickets: a pure gamble. The RR is very good on them if you know what you're doing though.
On the other hand, normal (e.g. mid-dated) options will decay very fast while you wait for the event, which can lead to only breaking even even if you're right, therefore they're a bit more tricky. If you know a maximum 'date-by' where the event must happen, they are a great way to go, otherwise they are risky and you're probably better off just buying shares.

They wouldn't bother doing it if it was pointless. They probably think it will increase liquidity, which will minimize their losses.

how the fuck do we hedge against this when the dollar is literally about to get eviscerated.
