Metaverses are tiresome at this point even tho most of em are on beta im already tired of seeing them everywhere everywhere and all of them have literally the same concept idc. What do shitprojects think they’ll achieve doing everything everyone else is doing and expect to make it how will they make it they will indeed not make it and neither I will make it

VR gaming is where pc and console gaming was circa 1996. You are early, don't get groomed by anime girls with manly voices that eat butter

Everyone using VR becomes a tranny because they pretend to be an anime girl all day every day.
Can't even use the excuse "I was just looking at a girls ass". Because they can't look at their own characters ass unless they go to a mirror and all of this is insanely tranny.
I expect 40% of men to become metaverse trannies in the near future

It's gay like the internet was when it started. The internet was boring in the 90s. Everything was basic as fuck and looked like shit and just about every site was either corporate or someone's piece of shit handmade static page of useless junk. But over time unique things would pop up that pushed the boundaries a bit and were useful or entertaining instead of trash, then lots of low quality clones of those would appear. I think the metaverse will be better when the graphics are more realistic. Everything being cartoony looks gay. It needs to look like that Matrix Awakened unreal demo from a few months ago

How did people make money in the early stages of the internet and position themselves to make a lot more later on?
Avoid would one avoid the dot com bubble of VR/metaverse making a lot of shit and then losing all of it because it's just junk

I think they just had something that was useful and generated close to or more than enough money to sustain their business. Paypal is a good example that survived because everytime someone used their service they made money and it was a useful service at the time because not a lot of banks allowed online payments do sometimes paypal was the only way to buy stuff. There's a good documentary called "startup.com" followed a few guys starting am internet business sound that time and they had like 200 employees within like the first few months and VCs were pouring in cash but the team was inexperienced and it collapsed after about a year or something. So yeah, a useful or entertaining product, not overspending ridiculous amounts and experience or at least experienced guidance is fairly necessary to succeed. The metaverse seems to be struggling with the useful or entertaining product part. I don't know why there's not more people working on the "work gamification" type stuff for the workplace, it seems like a fairly unexplored area

It is going to require elements of the following for wide adoption:
>GTA V online roleplay
>Second Life / The Sims
>Native simulators (driving/racing, flying, train, marine, etc).
Worlds that look like a mobile game are going to turn the masses off.

The XR hype is where I think stupid VC money is purring in. VR and the metaverse meme cant be compared to the internet, it is just the next evolution of gaming, not a way to make work processes more efficient and cheap

They already tried VR gaming on different platforms back in the 1990s. If it didn't work then, I doubt it would work now or in the near future. Like you said, the technology isn't there yet.

its not quite yet there but 2023/24 with Nvidias 4xxx series and Meta Zuck releasing quest 3, valve hinting at an update and sony giving it another go, with new competition from china, we might see a substantial jump from PS2 era to PS4 era in one go hardware wise.
I mean I was an extreme critic and basically bought a used Quest 2 for 250 to show myself I am right. I was wrong, very wrong. Playing Doom in VR and now clocking about 100 hours in Blade and Sorcery, its the next evolution of gaming, it gives new perspective, but its really something one needs to experience to get it, it can not be translated to flat, unless you are an animator and watch sick hand moves that could never be scripted
