But it is by definition centralized, it's a permissioned DLT where council members are annointed. They could be more up front about it, but it's probably not a scam. It is however useless as a trustless platform to build on. If you are trusting some big corps, might as well use a cloud provider and get state of the art frameworks instead of weird APIs that don't fit the problem you try to solve.

This is the optimal system. Not the one where chinese miners or rich anon people to decide for you. Monero will remain niche (hopefully, otherwise maybe I'll need a gun and silver). The best system is regulated by corporations and large groups (not even governments) as they can die, have a reputation to hold and have a history of track record any individual can look.

I don't have to trust one entity, that's the point. I have to trust a collective of groups, with different interest, different geography constraints and different game plans to not fuck me over. Easier than trusting Google with my data.
