People say Trezor is safe because individuals or companies can audit the firmware code, preventing the company implementing a new update where they can steal your funds... I haven't seen one audit yet.

you don't have to update. the only time i've ever updated was when eip-1559 broke trezor's ability to send transactions with metamask, and even then I still waited a couple months before doing it. if they slipped one in on that update then touche satoshilabs

And? Have you checked the code or audit of the version you are using?

Even if they don't do a full scale theft, they can always plan something where it is 0.1-0.5% of wallets. Hack these users and only take the funds of high value wallets, then they can just blame the user for exposing their seed physically or virtually. No one will believe them since these hacks can blend in with such a small percent of Trezor users that make these actual errors.

they could ship a hardware wallet that will only generate pregenerated keys. your laptop could be manufactured with a backdoor on it that transmits your private key whenever you connect to the internet. the only 100% safe method is a paper wallet that you never use for anything, not even importing it into electrum, you just tear off little pieces and trade them to people when you need cash

1. is possible but you can generate your own keys with dice rolls
2. is impossible, they said the device never communicates the private key to the computer, it can be used on compromised systems

>they said the device never communicates the private key to the computer, it can be used on compromised systems
this. you can literally plug it into a computer that you know is 100% compromised and nothing bad will happen

who cares about this ghost chain when Hedera is a thing and already has the full support from major companies like Google, IBM and UbiSoft

theyre funding HBAR foundation with billions of dollars to expand the Hedera ecosystem and the foundation is already doing a great job at that
