>talk to boomers or to hiring managers.
>"You need to impress us. Present yourself in unique ways. Go the extra mile. Be creative. Shoot a video CV. Work on projects in your time off and show them to us. Do a working interview where you work for free for a week. In this market, you need to go above and beyond, you're not entitled to a job."
>ask them what they did to get hired.
>they just knew the right person at the right time.
Jump through their hoops, wagies. Jump through the hoops THEY never even had to look at. Through hoops that didn't even exist in their time, because they're the ones that invented them. Jump and squeal and juggle your own testicles like a circus monkey, wagie. And be grateful.
This is fine.
This is like a real man lives.
If you don't want to live like this, you deserve to be shamed.

How much money did you lose in stables to resort to fudding biz like the gay bear you've always been?

So here's thing. People lie. They lie all the time. Anyone born prior to 1970 spent the entirety of their youth with no internet to call them on their bullshit. Boomers couldn't live up to what their parents achieved or the hardships they endured, so they made up tall tales and wouldn't correct each other on it.

The hoops don't exist. It's always been about climbing social heirarchies. They had to lie about it being hard work/extra effort to appease their parents, but didn't have the decency to give you the truth.

You've learned a good lesson. Never ask people for what to do, ask them to tell the story of what they did. It will be embellished and they will misremember, but they will have a harder time crafting a story that is a total lie unless they have REALLY practiced it and believe it.

Dude, I didn't lose shit in Terra, I closed 2021 with a hefty profit and now I'm waiting to accumulate. Calling out the abysmal conditions of the job market doesn't mean demoralizing people in crypto.

the more experience you get in the workforce, the easier it is to lie about your accomplishments. when i was applying for internships, i had no basis for my lies. i couldn't bullshit my interview. it was hard to stick out. i had to get lucky to get in. this was like 5 years ago. when i was applying for my first job hop, it was easier because i knew the business lingo and how to bullshit my way through normal lines of questioning. i didn't have a lot of experience but i could pad my resume a bit. some people figured out i was lying, but i tricked a few employers and took a better job. when i was trying to jump to a senior non-managerial role, it was even easier. i could namedrop impressive sounding projects or experiences with technical areas of work that i knew a thing or two about (but was far from an expert.) i could answer a technical manager's questions well enough to sound truthful. soon i'll be hopping to a manager role. i expect it will be even easier, because i can talk about soft skills.
