At what point does BTC become so big that it will not be allowed to crash?

it's impossible for ledger-based crypto's like this to get big and not fail

>p2p mining of blocks to maintain and reaffirm the constantly increasing ledger
>incentive of this is to award bitcoins - whose value is intrinsically tied to current currency systems, nothing else
>as the ledger increases, # of BTC's increases, the total amount of computational effort ($$$) to check these increases as well (regardless if it's spread out over N-people)
>this alone inherently devalues BTC's

that's just one extremely easy example of how unfeasible it is as an actual currency system and applies to all of the others as well. think about doing this ledger system without the internet but instead with phone-lines and you'll immediately recognize the amount of effort it requires and how quickly it increases in proportion to the amount of people/transactions. for some reason people are inclined to believe the internet is just magic and doesn't necessitate any effort or something.
all of these systems are predetermined to fail because they are forced to deal with reality
