How many people are working for you?

>> No.475345

yes based in the UK (Yorkshire), currently it is just me

How much do you year p.a? How much do your clients have to pay for your service? Where did you learn about this kind of business? Do you have enough clients to live of it? When did you started this company? Any experience you're willing to share?

I am really looking into this kind of business, currently i am still an mechanical engineer but i'm in touch to some pretty big guys from Hays.

The % varies on different clients, I do both temp and perm so it does vary but i try to do 10% perm and 20% temp, I have been working in recruitment for many years and when I finally thought I could go it alone I did, it has been very profitable but there have been some ups and downs (as with everything) and that is also why I am back to building the company back up (had a company go bust on us and owed alot of money) but I'm bored of doing it alone, its hard to get motivation. Started it in 2012, what would you like to know? I have no problem sharing or helping out.

What are we talking about 10% of the working bees p.a? Which kind of education did you have? How old are you now? Compared to you old job as a recruiter how much more do you earn/ work?
Did you specialize on a single field? Any startup problems like finding clients of working bees?

>> No.475375

yes 10% of their annual salary is what I take as commission but I do more temp than perm as I make more money off it, for example if I have 10 people out and I'm making £3ph from them and x that by the usual hours they do in a week which is around 55 then thats £1650 per week, I do work more than when I was working for someone but the money I earn compared to when I was employed is way way more so that helps, I'm trying to save/find an investor for around 30k so once that's there I can then expand again, all just takes time though.

Yes its hard to find clients but it's no harder than when I was working for someone else, if people want you they will use you, if they don't they won't it's that simple.

In which fields these people are working? How do you find them?

>> No.475377

find them by advertising, I work in office/admin/retail and construction but if someone wants me to recruit in a different sector then that's no problem I can easily switch.

Sounds like you know how to talk to people. What kind of training you went through at your old company? Did you study anything in HR?

>> No.475387

just learnt the full job really, you pick sales tips etc along the way i.e if you say something on a call and it doesn't work then you change it on the next call and keep like that until you have perfected it, I didn't study HR to so that I am CIPD qualified but when I had staff I kept up with the HR that came with that,

Are you thinking of getting into recruitment?

I am not really sure, still have one year left working in the field of mechanical engineering. I am not sure what i will do next but recruiting is like i said one of my desired fields. I am still young so nothing is fixed yet.

>> No.475400

why are you leaving engineering? If I could do it again I wouldn't start recruitment.

I'd join. Living in Spain, tho. I can do any chores you have over the internet and try to become your spanish-speaking branch. You can pick unemployed desperate people here and send them there for a week to take underpaid jobs. They'll be happy to have something to eat to do the jobs you brits don't want.
