Looking to trade altcoins as an American. Can't trade on Bitfinex... what options do I have? Poloniex seems like a shit exchange.

poloniex is probably fine although they are registered in delaware and their owner is kinda sketchy, they list scamcoins like DGB and BitcoinPlus while refusing things that MAY POSSIBLY in some interpretation violate the howey test

bittrex had loads of shitcoins and has been around for a while and has more reliable staff but has been locking down a lot of accounts recently because their AML/KYC has been getting stricter i suppose, this has upset lots of people

binance is a chinese shit where /biz/tards are happy to tell you to go there because they all bought binance coins cheap and you will need those if you want to trade there for less fees

kucoin somewhat similar as above but i don't think anyone's benefiting very much from this place

you can use the exchange itself without ever having to touch usdt or having your coins sit in there for months
if you want to be a fucking autist sure you can avoid everything that even comes close to what you consider ideologically impure but most people just want something high volume with thick books that works so that they can make the trade

Binance has the best UI if you are planning on trading a lot. Only problem is the lack of stop loss which means you have to babysit when day trading. On the plus side it's less susceptible to flash crashes.
