Hey there, my friends are bugging me to pool their money and invest for them but I don't know how to account for everyone's money if I pile it all together.

Does anyone have any information on how I could basically run a small private fund? Do I need special software? Do I have to have an accountant? Thanks anons.

I do this and charge people 5% to invest with me and 10% to withdraw. I don’t really keep track of their actual gains losses so I basically run it like a Ponzi scheme and pay out the first investors with the new money coming in. I’ll probably wind up in jail but whatevs

Yes. thats like doing business with friends or relatives. It always ends up badly. Youll never talk to them again once the fund/business blows up lol

Public hedge funds have very strict laws. Then there is a middle ground between public and just your account with friends money where you run a private fund for example as many large companies do

I feel like if you don't already know this stuff you have no business investing other people's money.

I mean, what's in it for you other than a big headache?
