Same thing that bitcoin does, but much faster and on a much larger scale so it can be used by banks instead of Timmy down the street trying to buy drugs on the darkweb. Pic related

But will banks ever use it?

I like when people say "BUT RIPPLE DOESNT EVEN HAVE TO USE XRP"...

Well, to get those transaction speeds, you fucking do.

They already use it faggot. Ripple.com has all the stats, why do you need to be spoon fed?

Ripple technology will be great for the banks but there is NO use of the XRP token

Chainlink technology will be great for the banks but there IS a use of the LINK token

One is almost 10 billion dollars in mcap and the other one is 50 million in mcap

if you miss this go off yourself in 1 year

That's the big question. If yes you can expect a massive pump. If not it will stay where it is right now.

May take years, I keep a small stack of xrp in my ledger at all time and forget about it

Right now, with the way Ripple's name is being dropped in news reports and partnerships occurring left and right, Ripple is the most likely thing in crypto to receive mass institutional adoption. Some decent competitors may come along later, or maybe they exist right now, but none of them have the same traction as Ripple does right now.
