A few of my friends have been trying to coax me into using Acorns after they tested the beta for a few months.

I have never invested anything before and frankly all the information is a bit boggling.

My biggest concern is: Is it possible to lose more money then I put into it?

I love comfortably for 25, but don't have an enormous cushion to fall back on financially. Investing spare change here and there appeals to me, but I don't want to be slammed later on down the line with sudden debt.

Can anyone enlighten me?

Jeff Cruttenden
Co-Founder & COO

Jeffrey Cruttenden co-founded Acorns to simplify investing and connect it to everyday life. In college, he noticed that most of his classmates that had an interest in investing couldn't come up with a lump sum to meet minimum balance requirements. Jeff graduated magna cum laude and Phi Beta Kappa with a B.A. in Mathematics from Lewis & Clark College. Jeff serves as COO of Acorns.

Walter Cruttenden
Co-Founder & CEO

Walter also founded and served as CEO of E*Offering, the investment banking arm of ETrade. E*Offering became the number one provider of online IPO’s before its sale to Wit Capital and ultimately to Schwab. Walter co-founded Acorns and serves as its CEO.

They also have a novel prize economist on staff, will have to dig for his name again.

Also, is this kind of long term investing would you stand to lose more then just your money you invested?

You cannot lose more than 100% of your investment.

Ignore. It's a new form of marketing.
