Hello guys, My current rates on my student loans are about 7-8%. I'm getting a job good for 100k takehome, live on 20k in May. Would it be better to put my money into alt coins and then pay back my loans with the profits?

you have to pay tax too

Go for alts. Just keep track of your cost basis for taxes since you'll be cashing out in the short term.

Rather than asking biz, why don't you make a budget and see what actually makes sense for you financially.

Not exactly your situation but I'll tell you the story anyway.

Shortly ago there was a coin called Chainlink here. It solves the oracle problem and was poised to have ethereum like gains in the upcoming year. A ton of people here bought in the presale (100+ eth pools at a minimum) and in fiat the coin very quickly jumped from 10 cents to 50 cents. To say everyone was euphoric is understating things.

Now there was an anon here from a prestigious university who believed in the technology and the shilling here who bought high. Where'd the money come from for his investment? His student loans. Link has crashed to ~18 cents, he's lost over 5 figures as a result, had to leave college on the basis of anxiety, his family thinks he's a gambling addict, and he has an addiction to cuckold porn.

Be smart and pay your debts. You can allocate money for investing, but you don't go all in with money you can't afford to lose.

It's about 80k right now so it would increase like 8k a year, I would have to make more than 8k to make alt coins worthwile. I could put down 80k into litecoin and profit an easy 20k.

Alternative
>pay debts
>get perfect credit
>put down 200k for 1mil real estate loan

Yeah this too, I'll just pay debts then. Easiest way to save my money.
