I want to buy a house near mcgill university and rent it out while attending the school. Is this a good idea? will the canadian housing market plummet within 10 years?

Fuck it I’ll bump for interest too.

I just started renting a room in a house where the owner splits the rent for super cheap between all 4 roommates, and was super casual about me moving in. I actually haven’t even met him yet because he’s vacationing in California for thanksgiving (I’m east coast) apparently because “I have money, no girl, not much family...why not?”

I plan on asking him about how he got started. Sounds like a pretty comfy gig

montreal is very undervalued. you can buy a house there for 400k. vancouver is 3million minmum
