Let me explain to you how holding is practically the same as buying. (ignoring fees)

Let's say we have person A and person B.
Person A has $100 in cash. Person B has $100 in BTC.

At any point in time they have the choice where to put that money. They can put/keep it in cash or they can put/keep it in BTC.

Let's say at a point in time person A decides to put his $100 in BTC,
and at that same time person B decides to hold his $100 in BTC.

They are now in the exact same situation.
They both have $0 in cash and $100 in BTC.

I sold ETH when it started dropping and put it into BTC when it was still low. The I resold a little bit ETH when it was cheaper, it already went up again a little bit but I still think it was too expensive maybe. Was that a good idea or not?
