Should I be holding LINK or ETH if I want the best gains by eoy?

I have no doubt ETH is on its way to atleast $700 soon but also wary that LINK could x2 at any moment.

Which one, if you bought $500 worth, is more likely to 5x in 12 months? 10x?

ETH is not going to have a $450B market cap soon. LINK may have a $650 Million market cap in a couple quarters.

Buy ethereum, literally the thing that enables all of these shitcoins to exist (as ERC20 tokens, which is what they ALL ARE), or buy one of the thousands of shitcoin ERC20 tokens.

Hmmm, really big mystery there anon.

I shouldn't be answering this, but it I'll drop some guide lines.
If you've got sub 1k that you're going to put into crypto, ask yourself a few questions.
What do you want out of it?
Is 1k going to be the only money you ever put into it, or will this be a recurring thing? Answer this, regardless of your future performance.
Do you want an easy hold? Or do you want to play some options and do some swing trades? Don't go balls deep, because if you hit zero, you can't trade back in without buying back in.

Only put in as much as you can lose. When you put it in, already consider it gone, you're playing a different game now.
Now that you've got in-game tokens, consider how you would like to play.
Best advice is split your stack. One half is your "checking" account, the other is your "savings."
Park half your savings in something smart and stable. Either BTC, ETH, or XMR. (I personally don't reccomend BTC anymore.)
Now with your other half, find a prospective shitcoin you want to wager on. Your most likely bet is to choose one with the best memes. seriously.
So put the other half in, say LINK, now you can play. When link goes up unreasonably, and you see the largest candle in the 3 days, sell. When it corrects and you see it go down with a tall candle, buy. The goal is to increase your stack.
When ETH goes up and sways your holdings percentage, identify an entry point in LINK and stick some back in there.

This is the safest approach.
