if bitcoin displaced gold as the favored global value store and we continued down the current path of systemic deterioration (without a serious collapse), what would be the net effect on overall wealth?

net gain gold is useless as a currency in the modern era
those with gold or Silver will see an eventual price spike though and dump it for cryptos if smart, this will allow for a faster more robust economy overall, gold will still store value just not as much. It simply can't compete in the internet era
