What do you think of guys who build a fortune and become millionaires, but still live modest lives without anyone knowing they're rich because they drive beat up Honda Civics, then when they die they donate everything to charity?

Are they cucks who didn't enjoy the fruits of their labor, or good men?

>> No.4175837

>>4175805

They’re men of the people. A coworker saw Craig from Craigslist waiting at the bus stop the other day. He rides the bus regularly. He is worth 6 fucking billion dollars.

>> No.4175844

because they have a passion and nothing gives them more satisfaction than doing what they love.
You will realise this when you have one
They enjoy their work more than cumming in some vagina.

Just the same way mathematicians, scientists do what they love rather than easily finding a high paying job and following money.

i think it's a slippery slope and that if you indulge too much it can probably consume you pretty easily. Imagine you live the high life, supercars, yachts, private jets, $1M+ wrist watches, drugs/booze, escorts, etc. you live that way for awhile, even just a little bit, and I think you would get hooked on it, probably difficult to ever go back to a lowkey, low intensity lifestyle. Best medicine is to probably not live that way in the first place unless you're prepared to commit to it forever.

In terms of labeling them cucks or not, I don't really have an opinion in that regard or care much what wealthy people do. If I was low-tier wealthy like $2-10M I'd probably live pretty modestly, just a comfortable, cozy, lifestyle with a few modest luxuries. If I was into the super rich category, $100M+ with sustainable positive cash flow I'd probably start living a lot more hedonistically.

Also why do I get the sense when looking at that photo that Gates could snap Zuckercuck in half? and that he might actually be considering it...

>Are they cucks who didn't enjoy the fruits of their labor, or good men?
They enjoy what they do. you're thinking telelogically, most people think you get a job because there's some pot of gold at the end of the tunnel, for these guys the job IS the reward.

It's kind of like those artists who will do an entire exhibition of just studies and unfinished works, or Jazz Improvisation - the process IS the finished product.

They probably enjoy what they do, they are also hyper-competitive so seeing that money rise higher and higher gives them satisfaction.

>> No.4175873

To each their own but I think they're doing it all wrong.

>> No.4175895

Personally think anything you make over your life fund of 2mil, is a bonus to do whatever the fuck you want.

Although as those guys stated, people get more satisfaction out of life helping people or enjoying what they do, be it technological advancements or health research.

Money doesn't equal happiness but it makes life far more tolerable.

If you were a forever alone awkward KEK before being rich, you'll still be one when you're rich.

Generally why people turn to drugs because they can't do anything in their life that's fulfilling.

I'd have a problem spending luxury goods because of my austrian view on the economy.

I dont believe I create jobs by spending money. I believe I steal productivity from elsewhere that goes into stupid stuff like making my rolex tick better than a festina watch.

The time spent on that stupid rolex and digging up the diamonds from the ground that adorn it could have been spent working the fields providing food. But because I chose to buy a 300,000$ watch, it didn't

I agree with this wholeheartedly

People say this obscene wealth creates jobs, fair enough maybe it creates some high paying jobs. But it's not an efficient allocation of resources. One rolex can pay for hundreds of low cost houses in Africa. How can you justify it? I think rich people who have more than a reasonable person could possibly spend in their lifetime, have a moral imperative to use their money to do good above a certain point

Enjoy it, have your private jets, invest it to make more money while alive - but if you don't donate most of it after death while giving a decent amount to your children, you are scum because you have taken from humanity and not given back

Standing upon the shoulders of giants, you didn't reach a hand down to your fellow men and women who didn't get up there, regardless of the reason

I think it's fucking stupid. They can do whatever they want but I still think it's fucking stupid.

You don't need to wear a 5000 dollar belt or get a gold plated car, but there is really no nobility in being sloppy and not taking pride in your appearance or lifestyle.

Richard Branson is rich, humble, yet still lives large. Same with Gianlucca.

At that level of wealth, there is no point in flaunting it, everyone knows they are wealthy. They still do live in absurd luxury and can have anything they want, but showy cars and clothing are pointless. Those two also are extremely famous and forever linked to their empires, so that rules out being overtly hedonistic, the tabloids would have a field day and it would hurt their brand. If I was ever 100M+ rich, I would try to keep the notoriety to a minimum, essentially be a stealth millionaire.
