SHOP beats Everything Edition.

Robinhood is a commission free stock trading app on iOS/Android

--Robinhood FAQs --
- VISIT THE WEBSITE FIRST DAMMIT!! - www.robinhood.com

> How is it free?
Robinhood earns revenue by collecting interest on the cash and securities in Robinhood accounts, much like a bank collects interest on cash deposits and by collecting fees from robinhood gold.

> It's been X days, why isn't my account verified yet?
Not being approved in 3 days seems to be the new norm. Nevertheless, call/email their support if you've been waiting more than that.

> When is it coming to my country?
The only "plans" are on an Australian and Chinese beta. Neither of which has gained much traction.

> I hit sell when the stock was X.XX, but it actually sold at a lower price, why?
Robinhood graphs are shit and only show you an average, not true real-time prices. To get Bid/Ask prices and important things like candlestick graphs, you should use a more robust platform.

> Where can I get better charting or bid/ask?
Real brokers, like TDAmeritrade's thinkorswim. Otherwise you should be using tradingview.com, stockcharts.com, finviz.com, or a non-pile-of-shit for your graphing in addition to Robinhood.

If the general economy continues to grow, earnings should continue to grow, and the market has every right to keep going up. But, if things just keep going up, for no reason, or at a rate that outpaces earnings growth, then interest rates start to come into play as being the fundamental barrier to stop a bubble from forming.

So we'll just have to wait and see what happens.

Why aren't you holding any ASX:MEI /biz/

No this isn't a coin, this is an old school pennystock.

Some facts:

>Meteoric Resources is a mining company with 3 promising drilling sites with high level of cobalt, copper and nickel in Canada
>The real focus here is on the cobalt
>The cobalt price almost tripled in the last 12 months because the increasing need of it for batteries for electric car and smartphones
>This trend will continue
>Right now the majority of cobalt is mined in Congo this will change for muliple reasons:
>the mines in congo are a mess and unsafe, also child labour is common, the public isn't accepting this, trendy companies like Tesla and co. can't afford to get connected to this conditions
>Another down side of Congo are the unreliable deliveries of cobalt, with increasing demand this gets intolerable
>Therefore new supply lines are needed in more safe and reliable countries
>MEI will be one of the major players in this field and their market cap right now is low, that's makes this such a good investment

The results of the drilling sites will be released within the next 1-2 weeks. If and this is something you must consider, the results of this test drills are positive, the share will moon. Short term goals are 0.30-0.50$ long term way above 1$. Till Friday we will see 10 Cent without a doubt.

Here are some useful links and information about the sites

Especially the Iron Mask site with 15%cobalt/t is to be noted, 1-3% are good spots, everything above 5% is considered great and above 10% is godlike.

I know, not crypto related investments won't get much attention here but this is an awesome opportunity I wanted to share with you.

Disclaimer: I hold at the time I made this post 77.000 shares.

>How much money can you make off of this stuff?
thats all on you and your trading strategy. Some people can make 1% a year some people can make an average of 1% a year and some people lose money. Your best bet from my experience (4 years) is to build up a solid portfolio and slowly get your feet wet with trading while you learn everything you can about fundamentals and technicals. My girlfriend doesn't bother learning all that stuff and just buys stuff she thinks is low that she likes like Ford, Coke, etc.. her portfolio is doing pretty well, actually probably better than most the people portfolio in here desu

It depends on how much money you have to trade with. I think 10%-15% is a pretty reasonable expectation. That's not much if you only have 1000 bucks invested, but if you have 30,000... or more...

That said, it builds a good foundation for your future and should be part of a comprehensive investment plan. So yeah maybe now you do don't have the capital to make much, but when you do and as you gain with age and wageslavery you'll already know how to do it.

Finally, remember it can go down. Markets correct.

Is this bait? I hope so.

If not, DRYS has been a MASSIVE failure over the past few years. They’ve done more reverse splits than I can count. A reverse split is where the shares become so worthless that they cut the number of shares and raise the price. For example, if you had 100 shares of DRYS worth $1 each before the reverse split, you would have 50 shares of DRYS worth $2 each afterwards. They started doing this so often I couldn’t even keep track of it.

Hi, yes you’re correct on both parts. The stop loss only gets triggered if the fair market price for that particular stock falls to whatever price you set. If you sell for higher, the stop loss is automatically cancelled. Example: You bought at $100. You set your stop loss for $90 so worst case scenario you only lose $10. Then if you sell for $110, the stop loss is cancelled and you made a $10 profit while managing your risk.

Stop losses are set for each stock individually. You can set different prices to sell different numbers of shares if you’d like. That way you can save yourself from losing a greater amount but can still hodl into a portion of your shares if you think it will recover.

Also possible that a momentary dip triggers your order, then the price recovers but your shares have been sold at the low price.
