Research the future probable earnings of business, and you will know when a dump is just a dump and pump, or some whale leaving the share due to irrational reasons or because it wants to reinvest in another company that it might have higher or quicker earnings potential.

Also why on earth does it matter if a share costs 10USD or not? A company is worth the same if it has 10 000 shares each costing 10 USD or 100 000 shares costing 1 USD.

The price of a share in itself means nothing.

This thread reminds me I should 3x my investment in AMD shares. Ryzen APUs are coming out and they'll be hands down superior to any other offering that doesn't have a discrete gpu.

On other fronts, Vega 64 GPUs already have almost as high TFLOPS as enterprise Volta despite being manufactured on the horrid 14nm GloFo process.

It is, however, bottlenecked by poor geometry culling and bottlenecks that affect how fast the shaders can be fed which it should have hardware for but seemingly doesn't work. Best case and most likely scenario is that the problem is a software one and they will succeed in making their driver utilize it.

12nm LP process will bring it on par or better with Volta in raw hardware potential. Continued driver development must be successful for it to truly outshine Volta.

Navi vs mcm Volta in late 2018 or 2019 is hard to predict.

Ryzen cpus on 12nm will not be superior to covfefe lake, but be a significant enough upgrade for many people on AM4 to upgrade, and close enough to covfefe lake in performance that people will choose it anywhere except in the high end. This is partially predicated on them fixing the infinity fabric speed bottleneck, which is likely present only due to a low setting they enforced so they could sell a higher % and toss a lower % of cpus made on the shitty 14nm glofo process.

12nm LP will likely fix this.

The low production costs of ryzen cpus will keep the profit margins at current or higher levels.

AMD is also gaining ground in other markets like consoles, various forms of ASICs and servers.

7nm LP production node is likely going to be their catchup point in high performance desktop CPUs, which is the only point they are significantly lagging behind intel on. This combined with increasing market penetration elsewhere and the projected equalization or overtaking vs Novideo makes AMD a solid 2 year hodl share.
