I just came into money right before the crash. Lost on housing, lost on stocks, my GM stock got deleted by the government, my income got heavily decreased and it took me years to recover.

I was like 14. So I had a few hundred bucks maybe. I survived by buying Maplestory money and Runescape memberships. Life was hard but I made it through before they changed both games.

True. I remember a lot of people thought they got out fine but a lot of industrys dragged down further throughout the years after 08.

Also everybody got like $500 from the president as a gift for all the money everyone lost.

Sold my house 1 month before the shit-storm. Was out of the country for 6 months. Returned home and bought my old house for 50% what I sold it for. Unfuckingbelievable luck. However lost house later in divorce. New wife has piece of shit son. In every life a little rain must fall. I know a guy that won 3 million in the GA lottery a few years ago. He caught herpes from a hooker at the bunny ranch in vegas. His wife left him and took half of his cash. Luck is relative.

IT consulting business. Lots of customers went under but managed to grow at 10% per year and added 10 employees. Sitting at %100 that now and 30 employees. Did pretty damn good luckily.

I ran some sites that had myspace layouts on them, so we'd create layouts based on every single topic/category/musician/etc.

As myspace died I switched to making money in second life which also died after peak second life. I tried making some bitcoin sites in 2011 but there wasnt enough interest in the community and I moved into just general web dev and affiliate marketing.

Affiliate marketing went well until a lot of companys/advertisers went under. Never got paid for a ton of work in advertising from bankrupt ad networks.

It was weird because throughout all of this I thought I was very lucky because I was always making money and it seemed more and more but I guess I didnt see the bigger picture when my income took a hit and I turned around to tap into equity from two propertys to realize 70k in equity was wiped out years before.

You mean after inflating the currency and bailing out bankers and car manufactures. Gee I feel so swell about this $500! This is definitely going to put off the massive losses I'm experiencing right now! I'm also happy these billionaires weren't allowed to fail :D

Thank you government! You know best! Crypto is a scam! :DDDD
