While there are exceptions to the rule, I've found that wait staff in restaurants are the worst. They are bitter assholes who expect a tip even when their service is shit and they're rude.

I work in a big scale restaurant and catering business, from what i've seen the operational dudes (chefs, security, maintenance, service etc.) are great people to hang and talk with, especially those with decades of experience.

On the other hand there's nothing worse than the 'elite' managers and owners that get paid 100x what the operational dudes get for doing NOTHING other than hurting the business with their insane salaries and out of touch ideas of the business.

and i say that as the HR, health hygiene and safety officer, and assistant manager.
