THIS FUCKING WALLREEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEE
>>3970648this is very easy asset to trade
>>3971144Just before the btc run I bought some WTC and these few minutes have made me even sweatier than that time when my aunt sat on my lap
Bitcoin is a metaphorical teen and most others are babies. A couple of years of age make a lot of difference at this stage, but once everyone is an adult it'll mean a lot less, and there might be a flippening for a fundamentally more sound option. There is incentive for it to happen: btc is already outdated, there are better options to PoW, many coins are superior in scaling, transaction times and maximum transactions per second, privacy and whatnot, but it'll take time for all of them to lose shitcoin status and be on the same ballpark as btc.
>>3970994Just wait for the dip, and buy some shitcoin.

>>3971538Because it's not unique anymore. The are plenty of token-creating platforms out there now. Way overpriced.
>>3971563there would need to be a replacement for it which wont happen anytime soon for like 5 years
>>3971539What are you basing this on, your women's intuition? Long-term, it's the best coin out there hands down right now. Obviously it makes sense to keep an eye on the markets for any contenders but right now there seem to be zero.

>>3971576Bitcoin is the furthest thing from unique and it reaches new ATHs every month.
>>3971539I think Bitcoin Cash is a better coin but it won't overtake Bitcoin. If Bitcoin implodes then something with crypto has gone very wrong.
>>3971513on the verge of converting my entire eth stash into bitcoinat this point, eth is just a more reliable version of usdt
>>3970648If you look at the ratios between previous bitcoin all time highs(peaks), the subsequent sell off into the dip and then the following Bull run, as well as the ratios between troughs, you will see they are scarily similar Do anons here think this will continue in the future as bitcoin goes through each hype cycle? I made an excel model using these ratios which suggests the current Bull run will run out of steam shortly and we could trade back down as low as $1500 before another Bull run to around $32000
>>3971598Japan, Korea and Australia all support crypto trading. They'll be happy to host exchanges should the US and EU ban them.>>3971614Bitcoin was first. The rest are imitators.

>>3971637I'm phone posting from work but it's really nothing special - If you take a look at the price history the ratios between previous peaks have usually been between 5 and 6. The sell off has usually taken it back to within 1.5 times the peak before last... So assuming it did again would drop to around 150%* the 2014 peak, ie around 1500 dollars Just been studying how hype cycles and adoption curves seem to produce this kind of phenomenon
>>3971625>32000lol wut

>>3972980>What if the bitcoin blockchain. and all the information just dissapeared?Short of global EMPs that destroys every computer on earth, not going to happen. There are tens of thousands of nodes with full copies of the blockchain all over the world, including my own. A single node can ressurrect every other node once they come back online. As many are in more remote regions or emp data centers, the blockchain isn't getting destroyed unless nodes are systematically hunted.Bitcoin will stop working a bit after the world stops working. And if that happens the only thing you can rely on will be guns and ammo, not gold and silver.
What would happen if all the bitcoins were owned by someone? I Recall reading there are actually only a limited number. Would it result in high value, then a steep downward slope of decreasing value? Think of this in terms of real currency. Less stores would want to support a coin that not everyone has. They'd raise the items' value in bitcoins, making them more expensive.
>>3973299I own all PeronalCoins. That's right, that's a cryptocurrency I created. It has numerical hashes that start from 1 and go to infinity. I have them all stored in a text file and geenrate new ones everyday.I might be a septillionaire but you know what that means in the real world? Nothing.

Higher? What's the highest Bitbean can get? Like say in the far future IF it were to become a world currency. Could it get into the millions? Tens of millions? Higher?Yes dude, IF it becomes a world curency, it can get pretty damn high. Right now btc is too slow to become one, and it's inflated beyond its fair value. How much beyond? Nobody knows. Can the value catch up? Yeah, if people start offering more services and goods for bitcoin, but, again, it's too slow.
>>3974890slow down cowboy, world wide gdp is $60 trillion.crypto wont get all transaction volume, just a portion.medium term we can expect 1%, or $600 billion or roughly $50k per bitcoin. and that's assuming it gets adopted... which its not even close to.we're over due for a correction
IT JUST CANT BREAK 6K
>>3974890>>>3974781>EOY projections based on current growth:> 2022: $91,668,031.51Meanwhile guys like Roger Ver already like 100000 Bitcoins
>>3975032>Already likeAlready have like
>>3974940>>3974954Indeed, but there's a lot more mainstream attention now, which could mean a) regulation/government intervention or b) successful competitors, financially or technologically. It's definitely worth everyone trying to build an investment as soon as they can. It's not like the ass will fall out of BTC overnight anyway; basically the whole crypto market currently relies on it.
>>3975031JUST DID IT
>>3974993yea but gold wasn't easy to trade easier right? you had to carry it, wiegh (I guess) etc.Is there any way of making transactions cheaper? or would it automatically mean lower rewards for the miners -> miners leaving the coin -> coin going to shit?
>>3975000HOLY SHIT IT'S HAPPENING
Gratz boyos. BTC Market Cap just hit $100 BLN.
>>3975031>>3975063It did this earlier today. $6010

FUCK BITCOINWHY THIS SHITCOIN WONT SHUT THE FUCK UP
>>3975201I think somebody dropped his private key in the local shitting street
>>3974328I pray every night it will be anon.
does anyone know WHY it's mooning?
Heil hitler
>>3975253Of course silly. Same reason all the shitcoins are dying.Large positions being moved onto BTC before the fork.It takes a long time to move a whale without breaking everything
>>3975281get that shit out of the exchange faggot
>>3975284sounds reasonablewill altcoin ever recover?a-asking for a friend
>>3975305>bitcoin fork>bitcoin goes down 2k>alts recover and moon>repeat every single fork$400 eth, $120 LTC and $200 XMR incoming
>>3975073There are better alternatives. PoS over PoW is the future, a future bitcoin will porbably never adopt. Fuck miners, the only way it scales is towards centralization as ASICs are already ubiquitous the only way tobmine profitably will be off government subsidized electricity with bulk bought hardware.
>>3975317I love me some monero
So glad I moved into BTC on Monday while selling my LINK at ATH. Feels fucking fantastic
>>3975317>$200 XMRMore like $300. Monero to the moon.
>>3975305They should have a little bounce after the BTC flows back into them after the fork (not sure how much will be pulled out into fiat), and then slowly as more boomer money flows into the market. Provided they are useful and not *actual* shitcoins.
BITCOIN IS MOONINGagainwhy do altcoins even exist?
>>3975249can you imagine all those salty normies? can you imagine the /biz/ neets millionaire meetup with our lambos? I know it sounds ridiculous but look at the average normie, that fucker doesn't have ta patience to read one page of pure text let alone doing research for days, how do you expect him to get into btc by himself? he will eventually though when tv shills it to him every morning, but he will only be able to buy like 0.01 btc (like buying a tiny bit of gold today) from some weak hands because most normies are fucking idiots, they don't have any savings to invest in btc even if they wanted, they are too busy chasing bitchy stacies etc. and spending all their slave salaries on stupid things. But when they finally fomo for our scraps we will then have them on our side shilling the shit out of btc, but we will all be already setLike I said earlier I know it all sounds crazy but that's exactly how it would sound if you had told someone a few yeas ago what will be the btc price on oct 2017.And the fact that it's all so unbelievable makes me actually think it's gonna happen, because if it was so obvious it would be too true to be good.We may actually be the "early adopters" when you look at ourselves from the outside world's perspective. And it's not like got something for free, we either gambled (something normies are scared of) or done extensive research costing us a lot of time (something normis don't have the brains/attention for)
I'd sell guy.
Crash at 6800$?
>>3975082This is fucking amazing.Need champagne
Who here shorting BTC after the 25th of October fork?
>>3975507BTC has proven to be full on irrational I wouldn't risk it.
>>3975507do we have date confirmation? link?
>>3975507every pleb expects that to be the correct move and as such it will prove to be the wrong move. Don't get btfo like the rest of /biz/ scrubs
>>3975413There are three things I really dislike about the crypto community: libertarians, /pol/tards and beta faggots with stupid resentment towards "normies". In this order, from the least bad to the worst.
>>3975572"a dog on acid"lolits only a 6% move in 24whats all this panic about?
>>3975023This is a very valid point, with a couple of adjustments:2014 GWP is c $78 trillionAssuming a CAGR of around 4%, that jumps to just below $100 trillion for 2020, so it's still feasible, but extremely unlikely.Beyond that 2020 projection, it's pretty bullshit.I agree the whole thing is a massive bubble, in real terms.
>>3975662ok mr white knight
Is it crashing>? Do I sell??
>>3975723Kek, I don't even what to know how your mind works, it's just funny that how produced this non sequitur.
>>3975806*want*how it producedFuck this phone.
>>3975768kys
>>3975662What do you have against libertarians?
>>3975894I used to be one of you. The whole idea of the abolition of government is pretty stupid and idealistic, a society without government will 1) devolve into chaos just like Hobbes imagined it, or like it is happenning in areas like Somalia and Afghanistan 2) inevitably states will appear again, either through violence (like it happens with warlords in the aforementioned anarchist utopias) or economic dependency, or through a social contract. Of course, now that we have blockchain, we can at least have currency without government, and that's great. If smart contracts become a thing we will have that too, but we can't have everything decentralised, because that's just not how the world works. At least with our current understanding, maybe in the future we will be able to do aomething about it, I don't know.
Fuck this, I'm out.
>>3971800It should give you an estimated date of when the funds will clear on your coin base account. My first transfer took something like 5 days to clear.
>>3976276Abolition of government is anarchy, not libertarianism.
>>3976276you dont have a clue about what you're talking about
