Short of global EMPs that destroys every computer on earth, not going to happen. There are tens of thousands of nodes with full copies of the blockchain all over the world, including my own. A single node can ressurrect every other node once they come back online. As many are in more remote regions or emp data centers, the blockchain isn't getting destroyed unless nodes are systematically hunted.

Bitcoin will stop working a bit after the world stops working. And if that happens the only thing you can rely on will be guns and ammo, not gold and silver.

What would happen if all the bitcoins were owned by someone? I Recall reading there are actually only a limited number. Would it result in high value, then a steep downward slope of decreasing value? Think of this in terms of real currency. Less stores would want to support a coin that not everyone has. They'd raise the items' value in bitcoins, making them more expensive.

I don't see the world where you can buy everything (I mean it's technically doable transfering immidiately to fiat for the receiver) in btc. Also if it's gonna be as deflationary as we all expect how would people be getting paid in btc in their jobs with the purchasing power of btc fluctuating so much? imagine you get your paycheck and by the time you get home it dipes 20%? would the meplyer have to buy btc before issuing every paychecks? would the emploee have to transfer every paycheck from fiat to btc himself?
Maybe I'm too much of a brainlet to grasp it all but as of right now for me it seem like btc will be a store of value gaining quickly and when all the btc are finally mined year 21xx ? then they can be used as a currency because it will stay more less stable

I used to be one of you. The whole idea of the abolition of government is pretty stupid and idealistic, a society without government will 1) devolve into chaos just like Hobbes imagined it, or like it is happenning in areas like Somalia and Afghanistan 2) inevitably states will appear again, either through violence (like it happens with warlords in the aforementioned anarchist utopias) or economic dependency, or through a social contract. Of course, now that we have blockchain, we can at least have currency without government, and that's great. If smart contracts become a thing we will have that too, but we can't have everything decentralised, because that's just not how the world works. At least with our current understanding, maybe in the future we will be able to do aomething about it, I don't know.
