So I've been in crypto for about 3 months now. I know I'm still a nub, but I have learned a lot and want to share/discuss with you anons. What I have learned:
1. Don't buy on emotions. See a random coin somwhere, looks good, buy 100k. It's easy to say but hard to do.
2. Always have a goal in a trade. Profit goal and stop loss. Else you are gonna get greedy when it moons and not sell, then later you'll become a bagholder and post pink wojaks. Also sometimes it is reasonable to change the goal after the trade (like increase the profit goal when it moons hard)
3. Take more small gains, rather than wait for moon missions only. I used to wait on +25% gains on all my trades and missed out on a number of 10-15% gains, could have made more money in total.
4. Learn some basic chart analysis, how to read candlesticks etc. Also when looking for trends look at the 1 DAY graph. Most of the time from 1 day graph you can easily identify the general trend which is either downward, upward or sideways.
5. Don't spread yourself out. If you have under 5k, I'd say invest in 2-3 coins.
6. Have some fucking patience. I have taken losses mostly because I had a shit patience, sold at a loss. Then some time later i see that i could have made profit if I would have waited a little.
7. At the end of the day profit is profit. Even a small profit. Learn to take small wins.
8. Take everything on /biz/ with a grain of salt, think things through yourself.
9. See what predictions people are making on TRADINGVIEW, there are many very experienced crypto traders giving out free advice basically.

Find and register for as many credit cards as you can. Max out on various altcoins. This is called diversifying. you only need to hit one homerun to cover for your losses. As soon as you can cover your credit card debt, pay it back, rinse and repeat.

Never trade, just hodl on as many alts as you can.

Thanks anon. Number 6 is the hardest - I always have trouble balancing between setting stop-losses and waiting out for an eventual moon. Been burnt by both sides of the coin just this week
