I made my 1st purchase of BTC 2 months ago (5k usd), and kept looking daily on blockfolio, but never went beyond this. In the last couple days I started to read about cryptos, and something came to my attention, the segwit2x fork. What I'm supposed to do? Leave the coins, and cash out the free money? Will the price drop?

Also, chainlink got my attention, and ended here. Wich raises another question, this alt looks to good to be true, and after reading several threads about it here I'm very tempted to put 10k usd in it. What you guys think?

Buy Link, it's worth the risk. Buy dips when it tanks, it's a good longterm hold

I'd wait till after the fork. Price might dip, as people will rebuy their alts after the split.
