Im daytrading Link-ETH during the weekend and was able to increase about 8% of my ETH stack during the downtrend.

I then got fucked by a whale and had to sell at an overall weekend loss of 7%. Did a few meme lining, noticed the thin buy orders and the clear short term downward trend/momentum, and decided to set an order around the resistance of .0011~.0012 ETH, which got hit while I was asleep. So its k overall.

Honestly the same whale tanking the price probably got nervous he was able to tank it so low and was reconsidering accumulating so he tried a test pump.

I mean who would have thought he'd be able to take it down to 7.5k without significant buy pressure. Hopefully he starts taking it back down again.

How do you guys handle daytrading? I missed selling before the dip and I know I missed a huge opportunity to build my stack. I'm gambling 100-200 link at a time right now to practice timing sells, but this is tough

>> No.3797155

>>3797130
Hefty loss on WTC? Wtf did you really buy in at $8.50?

Either way the answer is probably yes but maybe wait for Link to dip a bit more and WTC to pump a bit...but keep your eyes on both coins and look for a relatively good place to make the move, WTC will maybe double at most by eoty while Link should 3-4x.

I just decided to fuck around while studying during the weekend, with a stack of around 3.7 ETH since I noticed that the order book margin for Link-ETH was always >1%. It was actually my first time to daytrade. Since there was a downtrend of LINK price, I was on the ETH side most of the time to be safe, and buying only when there is clear order book support at the short term (i.e. there is a large buy order and setting my buy order slightly above this large order).

I then set a sell order at around 1 to 2% gain, when competition with bots and other daytraders is high even less than 1% is ok, since the fees at Binance is only .1% (.05% but you pay twice, once during selling and once during buying).

A Sat is a Satoshi, which is a millionth of a Bitcoin

So when trading LINK against BTC (pro-tip, always measure your Alts in BTC or ETH not fiat), it goes for 0.00008500 Sats currently.

This can also be simply called 8.5k Sats as well.

Learn the lingo it will do you well.

This. It's a cognitive leap to think in sats, but one well worth it. The two traps are not having experience with numbers to the left of the decimal, and the fact that you can be up in fiat but down in BTC. The goal of the game is more BTC.

If you want, use dips to accumulate, but do not risk anything by selling, just hold, because a moon mission could start at any moment. Anyway I think it would be dumb selling before SWIFT implements the chainlink technology, which is what make LINK tokens valuable.
