to reduce hardware errors you need to fiddle with the settings that determine how ccminer does the work (the parameters that you use to launch the program).

Changing the port only changes where you send the work to when the miner is finished.

I'm not sure in what way the launch parameters can be changed since I've never messed with cudaminer or ccminer.

Maybe you should reduce the card's frequency and vram frequency a slight bit. You can generally do that throught the official driver or thirdparty utilities like afterburner or something.

the network strength doesn't follow the price alone. It is a combination of the price, other networks profitability, and hardware efficiency.

Miners will mine until the electricity to run is more expensive than the coin value that they get for mining. Since Asics have brought greater hash per watt ratios, (some will be 400khs per watt), the network will increase over time even with halvenings.

I think sometimes when the price drops a few points, other poeple join in with panic selling and it becomes a rollercoaster. Still, every time I've been patient and waited, the multipool has climbed it back up. Ok, I read that. So in short its a new algorithm people are switching to to spite ASIC's, but isn't much better than scrypt, and some litecoin guy hates it. Is that accurate?

Also, I'm mining doge on the multi-pool. Is there an X11 multi-pool for doge and should I switch?

If you want to have your GPU running cooler and be overall more profitable then yes.

Try https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?topic=623409.0.. The important part is to start it with -k x11mod.

Aw yeah, they have a binary download. Thank you based amDoge.

Also, people in the thread are saying a 7870 gets about 1.7mhash/s. Currently I get around 400khash/s. These hash rates aren't 1:1 comparisons.... are they?

It's a different algorithm, so it's not really comparable.

Also, X11 is trying to solve a problem that scrypt has already solved, they just shouldn't have fixed scrypt's parameters. But it's more profitable on the multipool, so hey!

Ok, trying to setup sgminer, and I want to use a .bat file and pass all the arguments when it starts.

I'm looking in the FAQ at "https://github.com/sgminer-dev/sgminer/blob/v5_0/doc/FAQ.md" and it says "Yes, check the example.conf file.".

Thing is, I dont see any example.conf anywhere. I even downloaded the .zip of the project, extracted it, and ran a search for "example".

Am I retarded and just not seeing it or what? Failing that could someone just post their .bat file? I would appreciate it.

You can simply use the settings you were using to mine scrypt but pass -k x11mod additionally.

Could someone just post their entire .bat file they are using for the x11 multipool (doge or pnd, doesn't matter). I'm still having trouble and want to rule that out as a cause entirely if I can.

Just going to change the username, so you should even get me mining to your address while I test. Would very much appreciate it.

I swear to Christ I can't get this to work and I have no idea why.

I keep hearing there is a '3 day rule' for the coins to mature to be able to mine again.

Well I wasn't PoS mining for several days. Then anons recommend I 'consolidate' my coins in 1 big transactions. I did that. Over 5 days ago.

5 days later I am still not mining a damn thing, despite it saying "expected time to earn reward is 3 hours".

It's said 3 hour, its said 4 hours, however I've received nothing. Absolutely nothing.

So, another update. sgminer works fine without the "-k x11mod" switch, but of course that defeats the purpose.

I also tried using
setx GPU_MAX_ALLOC_PERCENT 100
setx GPU_USE_SYNC_OBJECTS 1
from a thread I found on plebbit, still nothing. Any suggestions appreciated.

ive now gone back to 2.0.2 and reopened my wallet - does the "4 hours expected time' now count with my 2.0.2 wallet being opened, or do i need to wait the 3 days now again?

Alright, I think I figured it out.

I was connecting to multi.bamboohouse.info:3032 rather than multi.pandapool.info:4032. I'm now currently mining at 1.9Mh/s.

I'm getting a bunch of accepted shares, but they all say 0.0xx/0.004. I checked my stats on the site and they show me mining at 1.7ish Mh/s so it seems to be working.

Man, I knew it was going to be something stupid like that. Do you ever have those days where you wish you weren't stupid for like 5 minutes?

Yes but miners usually don't care about a coin with seemingly no movement is the problem.
There's so much hashrate out there that could eat up the existing sell orders in the matter of a day, yet no one wants to take action unless forced. They prefer putting the energy into the coin of the week scam.

Looks like my first transaction is coming through; 13,555 PND

So I guess now my question is - will this number be consistant with how many coins I'll be getting every 3/4 hours? Or is this a backlog of PoS mining that I never received, and thus a massive all-at-once-dump to my wallet since I havent received anything in over a week.

basically, 13,555 mining from pos wallet = good number or low?
