however the market reacts it's not worth it to risk my positions because of the SEC, they can't do shit to the cryptomarket and the coins. and when it comes to ICOs the US haven't been able to trade with them at all so I don't see how them regulating something that isn't there to begin with can have a substantial impact on the market. and of course I could be very very wrong
and wake up to BTC sub 3k again (which is unlikely) and if that happens I'll just buy some more btc and wait for the price to go back up. It's inevitable

Remember what they did to BTC-E?
The government can just seize all the tokens and don't give a shit to its investors.

Many Bitcoiners want the SEC to regulate ICOs, and for good reason. 95% of these shitcoins are scams

>> No.3619006

They're going to stop all exchanges dealing with BTC, ETH, and LTC

>> No.3619013

wtf is bad about this?

>Market manipulation schemes involving false information spread through electronic and social media
>Hacking to obtain material nonpublic information
>Violations involving distributed ledger technology and initial coin offerings
>Misconduct perpetrated using the dark web
>Intrusions into retail brokerage accounts
>Cyber-related threats to trading platforms and other critical market infrastructure

So they are going to fuck any scam ico in this ass and go after hackers and darkweb shit.

Good

This. Me sitting on a stack of LINK and a heavy bag of CAT I bought after the ICO is nowhere near the top of the list of offenders.

>> No.3619035

This sort of news normally makes a crash happen instantly. Yet this time nothing has happened... Nothing to fear. Everyone literally doesn't give a shit about the FUD anymore. Everyone is over it. I think people are seriously thankful the SEC might step in and regulate ICOs as well. I know I am. These scam coins are out of control...

If they suspend exchanges the price of BTC is fucked.

why would they do that?

>> No.3619053

I doubt it will happen though. This is probably more to investigate Espers type shitcoins.

There is nothing to fear about this news. Bitcoin ETF is coming soon! This sought of investigation by the SEC will help clean things up faster, making new (big) investors less worried about what they're buying into
