Have you guys ever quit a job, regretted it horribly and then called and asked for it back?

Because that's what I'm honestly considering doing right now.

Story?

Every job I quit or was fired from I was really happy to be gone.

One phenomenon I have found is that in those last weeks before quitting or being fired, work actually goes well, making you reconsider your decision.

Depends if your skill set was replaceable with an immediate hire, internally, or just by dividing your job's duties among several people - internally or through new hires. If you say yes, you're SOL because I imagine being the 4chan posting sperg we all are, you probably didn't give a 2 weeks notice, you didn't set up another gig beforehand, and you're posting for help on 4chan.

Even if they do take you back, you're fucked because the management will view you as unreliable and probably have you train a new guy that'll replace you once he's fully up to spec on training.

Just have "fuck you" money, or another job lined up

The spics and women have taken most of the jobs you'd be working if society wasn't fucked. Any job that any slhlep off the street is most likely going to be shit.

14 years ago I worked in a deli at a supermarket. I knew some guy who who worked in produce. Couple months ago I find him collecting shopping carts at a supermarket a few miles away. Dudes in his early 60s. Depressing as fuck. He was a shit bag though.

>> No.3548586

It was a callcenter

>>3548498
The "spics" have only taken slave labour, let's be honest here man.

>> No.3549065

I don't think you can, unless you have a very good reason and only if your manner of quitting was in the most professional way. You'd probably also need to be on good terms with your boss. But given that a job is usually the only thing that keeps someone from being homeless, if you need it bad enough, there is absolutely no shame in going back and asking.

Storytime: had HR come in to fire someone once. It had gotten bad. Called HR a cunt and stormed out, publicly, in front of everyone. Asked for his job back six motnhs later cause he needed a job and ahd gotten fired.

There's truly no harm in asking.

>> No.3549118

>>3549065
It wasn't really the best terms... I feel like shit over it they were extremely nice to me and I treated them terribly by leaving.

The job might not have been amazing but the company was good.

I feel like since they're hiring they could still hire me back... or equally they could just decide that my behaviour shows im a bad future employee.
