I consume various APIs, yes.
But in 1# case, the exchange data is only pulled down from the exchanges and presented.
Some exchanges give the additional ability to move money around, so you can implement trading bots using the APIs.
Or, in the case of a service like Bongocoin, or the multipool, programatically exchange currencies, so you don't have to have a human go to the website and exchange it manually for each and every payment.

The Pandacoin (PND) development team adds 2 new members!

We are proud to announce that we've recently had 2 new dev members joining the Pandacoin (PND) dev team to assist in development of the coin and to grow the PND community!

>>353776
Hi thanks for the suggestion. We've conducted our market research through QQ and found out that was the opinion of the minority, not the majority.

Besides, after doing feasibility studies on the alt coin space, we have determined that we would like to keep the current logo to differentiate ourselves from the current set of alt coins. It appeals to the Westerners that want a coin that is territorial in nature and shows off of PND's USP (unique selling proposition) quite well.

All in all, it has a good balance of marketing reach to the East, West and on the internet. Remember that we're not aiming to only target the Chinese, but we are aiming to be THE gateway crypto for the masses.

Also, we will conduct market research via focus groups at different stages of Pandacoin's growth. If at some point the research indicates that the current branding approach is ineffective, we will be swift to utilize a new strategy to accomplish our goals.

I hope that answers your question anon!

Another thing, if there was a prisoner's dilemma game for PND, what could possibly ensure that the same person won't just pretend to be multiple players and as such win the amount added by the house all/most of the time? Since PND is not that widespread I could easily see a situation coming up when there is so low interest that this would be worth it, assuming random client pairing.

Question regarding POS: Do I also get reward for the time that my wallet is offline or is only the time counted for which my wallet is online and staking?

>> No.353869

>>353867
You will get a reward for the time your wallet is offline once it's online. However, you'll need to turn your wallet on once every 72 hours. This is assuming that all of the coins in your wallet came from a single transaction. It's much better to keep it on, imo, as it secures the network.

bought some more PND today at 129 (didn't have money for that some days ago when it was lower).

I think people who are still deciding on jumping on the PND ship or not definitely should jump in as long as they're still relatively cheap.

I agree that there is a bit too much optimism about the effect of the multipool. At best it will only soften the blows of dumpers.

Last 48 hours the pool bought 15 million pnd. thats a pfft in the bucket compared to the Pnd that has yet to be dumped by weak hands once they realize there long forgotten pnd wallet is worth something.

it wouldn't need that~ the point of having PoS is to encourage people to use the multipool to buy pnd and or just normally buy pnd and hold it.

today I posted some stuff on /r/dogecoin after weeks of absence and holy. fucking. shit.

that place is UTTERLY PETRIFIED.

people do not care about anything else than delusional psycho-optimism and talking about the current price.
any thread that isn't about how dogecoin's value is stable, the value isn't important, or about evil shills will be ignored.

/r/dogecoin has always been a little special but that place is a gigantic and chaotic train wreck right now.

I've read about and understand the PoS and staking principals; which is in part why I feel like this coin in particular will be going places soon. Also the devs seem to be on top of their game which seems to be increasingly rare in the vast majority of altcoins.

Mt.Goy is the best example of why you shouldn't keep your coins on an exchange. Basically, consider an exchange like a shitty bank with no government supervision that is dealing with millions of transactions from all over the world, in myriad currencies. Would you trust such an institution with your real world cash?

Some exchanges do stupid shit like forgetting to update their own wallets, meaning they're operating on the wrong fork. They could either lose all your coins, or there'll be significant delays in getting them back to you.

They'll claim "technical issues" and freeze a market, again holding your coins hostage until the issues are fixed, thus severely hampering your ability to move your capital around.

Basically, trust an exchange as much as you would trust any other shady entity that has no regulation.

Alrighty, thanks again!

Gotcha. I plan on spreading it out to 24 individuals so that's, what, approx 400 coins a piece?

I was planning on having them do some research on their own as well about how to accumulate more, and no one's really computer-savvy enough to build a mining rig. I was thinking of having evertyone start a bittrex and/or Mintpal account and then trading other coins but only in an effort to judge trends and cash out on other coins, and at the end of June, the member with the most amount of PND in their wallet gets a 0.1btc prize.

Thoughts? I figured I should avoid using faucets, as that wouldn't really spur any creativity, you know?

Friendly reminder to backup your wallets.
Friendly reminder to hold your coins so you can stake

Friendly reminder to tell that special someone how much you love him/her, and hug that person if you can; or at best call them or text them

It's not that bad once you have an account set-up with coinbase/some other service. The registration takes a few days to confirm, but once that's done it only takes a few seconds to buy.

Can someone please tell me what I'm doing wrong here?

I've had my PND wallet open for the past week, on 2.0.2, and I haven't received a single translation since 5/22.

This whole PoS change has really screwed me over - I havent been able to mine anything in a very long time.

What am I doing wrong?

Maybe your problem is that it is no longer possible to mine PND directly.
You either have to use the multipool or mine something different and buy your PNDs.

>> No.355627

>>355621
Clearly, from the amounts of your previous PoS blocks, your problem is that your wallet is too fragmented, i.e. all your unspent transactions are very small. You probably had a very low auto payout and mined most of your coins. You should consolidate your wallet by sending several large amounts to one of your own addresses, i.e. some 100k, 250k and 500k transactions (start with the largest ones) to minimize fees. These large inputs will have a much better chance of generating a block especially given PND's crazy high PoS difficulty.
