That sounds nice on paper but the truth is exchanges can just tell you they're giving you bitcoin when they really aren't buying any. They can create their own amount of bitcoin out of digital air and mess with their volume and other factors behind the scenes.

Perhaps you haven't read all of the complains about coinbase/gdax/kraken/gemini/poloniex/etc. Many have been waiting months for money to show up in their bank account or be transferred to their wallets.
